  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Announcing Weapon Touch 7in LCD plus LEMO ADAPTORS for Weapon

I am about to buy an LCD for my epic...can I purchase this and use it with a normal epic dragon? Figured if I have to buy an LCD it would be worth it to buy something newer that will hold value longer.

I like it, but I'll add myself to the list of Mark L. Pederson's request!

Please give us an option of the same display without the hinge. It should make it cheaper and more lightweight when connected to a noga arm!

+1! I have never seen it used professionally boltet to the camera.

I can't see why if you have the adaptor the monitor end, you couldn't? theoretically.

Appreciate the flexibility. And legacy 'compatibility' to existing Dragon EVF/LCD combinations through the A adapter (kindly included in the CF Upgrade package). But want to echo some of the sympathies herein - that direct to brain EVF/LCD port seems highly restricted to this new 7" LCD mounted in a limited position directly on the camera brain. Is this particular port/config also opened to the newly announced 3rd party innovation racquet?? :)

Ideal in limited run and gun scenarios IMO. For the most part, LCD/EVF remains an issue of convenient placement through NATO arms etc. and EVF cabling which is catered for in Weapon. The catered-for direct to brain 7" mount configuration precipitated by RED in this situation is welcomed, but likely a fringe rather than typical production scenario for most of us. At least, it seems that on the surface. And yet the forethought to flexibility herein, both direct-mount and adapter-driven traditional LEMO, is welcomed in terms of monitoring flexibility.

Specing out my new weapon setup and it would be great to be able to upgrad in my 7" for the new Weapon 7" Possible? Is it a simple process or more complex.

Likely not going to happen. A bit more complex and a bit difficult to do.

I'm keeping my "OG" 7.0" and will be using the new 7.0" as well.

Just as a plus 1 to what has already been said. I would also love a touch screen without the adapters and the hinge. It really causes headaches.

Just was thinking it would be nice to have NATO rail on the top part of the Lemo A Adapter, the camera is small and we're going to still need to bolt a lot of stuff on it. Gonna get crowded.

I am worried about this...

I need to be able to get a 19mm bar on the dumb side asap
A handle that goes over the pl mount so I can balance on a easy rig ....and I am worried this is a problem with the Lemo adapter thing.
Also the VF lemo needs to point towards the lens?
And I am always sticking other stuff on and I can't see where. We need 3rd party guys to step up in a really smart way rather than just selling us metal..

Yes indeed. ( with the Lemo adapter of course )

Thanks for the reply! In that case, I suggest you indicate that on the red store. Right now, the lemo adaptor appears to be compatible with the weapon only.

Jarred, is the Weapon 7" touch literally the exact same panel as the red 7" touch, just wondering if anything is different, color, sharpness etc....
