  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tx for clarity Jarred. I do see the store page is updated now and there's 48g difference ... for all intents and purposes assuming this is practically identical to the existing 7.0" touch granted new housing options and the POGO DSMC2 connector as standard
 
I just got a notice that my 7" CF monitor shipped today, so they are getting out. I ordered back in Aug. I believe so it's not likely that they are really close to being caught up.

Can anyone confirm if it is possible to mount the DSMC2 Red Touch 7.0" on the side Pogo connectors, like in Phil's photo above? This seems like a much better place to mount an LCD than the top. If side mounting works, what are the disadvantages to mounting it here? Are there clearance issues? Limited lilt angles?

Well I can confirm it :)

Yes you can't tilt forwards or backwards with the 7.0" in this possition, but you can rotate it and level it essentially. If you find yourself operating on the smart side of the camera a lot it works well.

Thanks Phil and Chad! Much appreciated. You wouldn't happen to have any other pics of this setup, would you? Phil's pic above was the only image I could find online.

It looks like LCD would fold down nicely over the side SSD module for travel / storage, which would be nice.

I'm debating buying the Red Pro Touch 7.0" LCD (with LEMO connector on back),,, but I do like this side-pogo setup. Hmmmm...
