Well, they're not thinking, they're working ;-) Most of the people I know, who really work (directors, dops, etc...) don't have time to spend hours on internet forums to get the right info and updates. It's easy to understand. On Reduser there are plenty of young kids or jobless people, even Red owners, who prefer to spend their lives here than going out and use their beautiful camera ;-)

The way I always describe the RED program to people in the industry:
Say you bought a Toyota Corrola for $25,000. You drive it 50,000 miles and then you trade it in on a $36,000 Camry and the dealer gives you $25,000 trade-in on your used Corrola.
Would anyone believe that deal? No way. But that is what RED is offering the Red owners.

How can they not have time to stay up to date on the very tools they are using? I've never understood this mentality.

To use a car analogy:
It's more like you are buying a Corvette for $5,000 (while Viper is $80,000)
and 3 years later you trade it in for full value and get a supercharged ZR6R for extra $5000 (while Viper is $95,000):thumbup1:
I think you may do better with a u-boat and nuclear submarine analogy:001_smile:I know what a corvette is...but what the snake thing and the Pfizer experimental drug have to do with prices of apples in Michigan?

They are all cars FYI Johnny (I'm sure you knew that)
