Red was never about a contract, but commitment...

If it returns to the owner, then it's fine & any repairs will be paid for by the owner not the renter. There is a big and obvious difference.
... as long as this lease-to-own thing ends today.
Deal?
Jarred, we love you guys...But this is just ridiculous beyond belief that it took Red so long to take a public position on this situation - especially in light of the fact that you DID know it was going on.
Can we please get back to shipping X...?
Congrats on the launch and good Labor Day holiday.
We will deal with this on a case-by-case basis. Those that contact us, explain their situation and take care of the the transfer of ownership the correct way, so we can update our records, will receive forgiveness.
As Jonathan stated.. we did take a public stance way back when.
We had a bit of a wake up call this week when we started calling customers for preparation of Epic-X deliveries and found out that they didn't have their RED ONES anymore and they had breached their Stage 2 Contracts.
A normal company would simply just void all those contracts, cancel their ability to enter Stage 2, and carry on with it. That's how business usually works... specially when there is a financial advantage to the company in doing so.

I've been waiting 5 years for Red to act like a normal company. I thought when I read this thread "...here we go", and then you come back an find a way to go above and beyond for the community yet again. This is why I was so excited to finally become a Red OWNER this year and can't wait to buy an Epic in the coming year.
We will never be normal. In that light, expect everything we have said about what's coming to change...

I never sold my 96MX but I have to say that the stance was pretty confusing, given the terms of stage 2 and the amount of sales or leases or whatever that were constantly in the "For Sale" section by people that were seemingly close to Red. Since it was happening on Red's forum, it looked like it was sanctioned.
I haven't changed since 2009. The original post was : I love my RED ONE*– 01-26-2009, 10:46 PMI like to keep it, even epic and scarlet shows up.
...those the did sell/lease their RedOne's, should at least go to the back of the stage 2 file,
... the just thing to do.
At least all of us that honored the commitment will also feel a bit vindicated.
Is this just too much?
You forgot tar and feathers Antonio... at least.
have a good day.
p.
I only watch 8 threads. It was a huge surprise to me.

... a great thing for those of us like me and you and many others who are crazy attached to our MXs yet ...
