8K S35.

OOO shiiitt ;) love this eheheh
is New Sensor? or Dragon at 8k s35?

A new camera every week. No wonder why they have to postpone constantly ^^

Its the pocket version=)

Phil, is the 8K S35 sensor bigger than the 8K VV?

My gess is, nope. VV is bigger than S35 and I think this is a more dense sensor than the dragon sensor, simply it has less distance between the pixels so it can fit 8k within the S35 frame. I undertand there are a lot of people asking for such as it fits with all the available S35 cinema lenses out there. But I for one much rather have the VV size of a sensor. Big is better in my mind. It would ofcourse be a bitch to choose if this sensor is much better than the dragon... then ofcourse people will be asking for this tech in VV size.lol.

WOW, where did this come from :)? Where did Jarred first post it?

I think this is a good move, in order for regular lenses to be used, but what is this going to be? Another camera? An upgrade for current cameras?

Also, if it's called Helium... is this a new sensor tech or just a new sensor format? Do we get more than just 8K at s35?

I wonder what frame rates and compression ratios we'll get with 8K S35. Low compression S35 8K 75p? What would be the compression given existing architecture? If the hardware improves to do something like 8K 100p, at a reasonably low compression ratio, I wonder what could be done at 6K? yummy :D

Helium is the second most abundant element in the observable universe... so hopefully easier to source than unobtainium :-)

those not on facebook miss all the fun... like last week Global Dynamic United's ranger tease :-)

Any idea on what the dynamic range is going to be on this? Hopefully it will be greater than what Dragon can do.
