  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Titanium mounts is all that we will ever buy for all of our cameras, they are so solid and really do take some of the worries off of you, and not having to worry for lens up port on some of the big boys is nice too... ;)

I am shooting wildlife at the Tetons and Yellowstone in October, and Patagonia after that.

The Canon mount will be available within the next two months?

Jarred, doesn't Jim have a Canon 1200/5.6 he could slap on there?
 
I'm helping Epic-M+A-mount+Nikon adaptor to be realized.

I can't wait to hear about the Redmote Pro with that large assignable knob to focus Canon/Nikon lenses with. Once that is released, and all L/G lenses are mapped... wild stuff.

Didnt Jim announce that all Canon mounts were going to be Titanium?

I am confused about the early "M" proto machined Canon titanium vs later production ones. Are they all going to be $2k apiece? Is there any difference at this point?

Regardless of your answers, I'm REALLY looking forward to getting one myself!
 
I know the aluminum PL mount is definitely not going to happen. Or at least that's how I interpreted what Jarred has said about it. Not sure about the stainless steel one. That could make for a lower cost, but heavier, option there. Perhaps the lower cost Canon and Nikon mounts will be stainless?
 
Here's a 'dumb' question -

Is there any problem using dumb mount adapted lenses like Nikkor to EOs mount with the epic-eos mount?

Just want to make sure so we don't fry anything.

Example: birger eos mounts used to get fried by the "chipped" dumb adapters from hong kong (so I've heard)

Oooh that is lovely. I had the same question - shooting in India and the Himalaya late October and desperate for my lightweight Canon glass. Awesome news!
