I got inspired by this article I saw over on the Black and Blue, but I think mine are easier to make and look better. http://www.theblackandblue.com/2010/08/06/toolkit-diy-filter-tags-and-other-labels/There's a guy on either reduser, cinematography.com, or maybe on CML who posted a thread about a cheap alternative to filter tags (but they were literally just the same thing) an AC buddy of mine ordered them, and they're super nice. I'll look around for it, and post it... If anyone knows the website / link or forum, feel free to post it in! I kind of want to add that to my kit.
that's genius. How do you keep them stuck to the velcro though? It's hard enough getting them to stay stuck to my lens caps!
Thank you Ben, glad you liked itBy the way, I loved your Epic in Scotland video.
Anyone knows where I can get an illuminating bubble level, on my tripod head it's not illuminating. I find myself so many times needing that. Thanks in advance!
This one takes a bit of 'splaining, but this item is cheap and super helpful. Take an elastic hair band and tie it off to the handle on your tripod head. Then, when you're doing pans, you pull on the band instead of the handle. The band "loads up" so you get a nice gradual start to the move, then at the end it comes to a silky smooth stop. With a little practice, I've learned to use this technique on not only pans but to follow on screen action. You can do this with any rubber band, but the band I linked is the one I found that works the best, lasts forever and looks legit.
