Jim,
Love the camera and the overall philosophy but having a hard time believing the rendering obsolescence obsolete bit. I would say that for most of the configurations that people will want to use with the Epic they will only want to use the new modules that are being built for the Epic. I know that most of the Red One accessories will work with the Epic but how many of them will be used out of choice? New batteries, LCD, viewfinder all coming out and that's just what we know.
I find myself torn between jumping on the Red bandwagon now and maybe buying a low number red package from someone selling, or waiting and not ending up with a bunch of modules that will be 'old tech' in a couple of months. The compromise of course is to buy a Red One now, with nothing to go with it just for the place in the queue, but that seems like a 17.5K deposit for what could be a year or so.
Any advice?
Gary
