Very thankful for your efforts here Mark, I'm sure it took a bit of "arm twisting" to get you to play with the new Dragon
Much appreciated is your approach, trying to bust the image, not candy coat it and just make it look pretty. The images are indeed impressive and accurately demonstrate what we are dealing with here, to those that get it.
Just like in any engineering tolerance test, material is put to its limit, tested to the point of failure, so other engineers know what its capable of handling and gain knowledge. We gain tremendous value from this information, learn its limits, not helpful is the individual that misses the whole point of the test and just says: "But it broke!??"
It's very courageous for any manufacturer to send it's newest cutting edge, yet unreleased, tech to be independently evaluated in this fashion. Usually its made to look great, and showcased, not tested to the point of breaking. I for one gain much more useful information from a torture test rather a beauty contest. Unfortunately that also sets up the same company for easy attack. But from all the shooters out there that get it and gain value from this, this information is worth it and we greatly appreciate you guys putting yourselves out there, you ROCK!
So when viewing images from the new sensor, and I see a clipped highlight in a beautiful sunset, I react.
