  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon in Sri Lanka

Elephant's eye (in full "regalia") @ISO 4000! Very impressive! I have a feeling with respect to still extraction, with HDRX enabled, X-track can eliminate the ever so slight, but normal motion blur at 100%. I can only imagine what this motion clip would look like projected at 4K on a large screen, or IMAX. Good times!!!!

Thank you Tom for sharing this esp, while under the weather. Feel better!

I can confirm that the "red dot" issue from MX Epic seems to be completely GONE with Dragon.

So, you stopped down to f22, aimed camera at the Sun, and no more red dots in a grid pattern???

Thanks, Tom.
Any 2560p footage coming our way? :smile5:

Is that something that can be seen on the monitor? I've only noticed back in the lab when this happens.

Easily seen in a monitor.

does dragon make long exposures?? im very curious about timalapse modes

I can't imagine Dragon will LOOSE any functionality over MX. If Epic MX can do timelapse, then I have to imagine Dragon will too. Doesn't seem like RED to take steps backwards. Only forwards...

Thanks Tom, Stunning Image my friend.
Cheers

i will try the timelapse stuff tonight if i get a chance.

it doesnt do very well on MX sensor and it does hotpixels lower than 10fps.
Min lowest fps is 1 on MX not like seconds.

Tom:

Thanks for your efforts and drink lots of clean water (no ice cubes, haha)

Looking forward for the side-by-side comparisons between Epic MX and Dragon.
