  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon in Sri Lanka

Surely you can find a clip or two that does not give away the whole story. After all, you were selected as one of the first to share this dream with the world.

It's unlikely I will post any video. I am shooting for an as-yet secret project and not sharing any footage at all, for more than a year now. Dragon performed 100% flawlessly. It's a dream.

Tom!

Come on! What is going on?... :-)

You made some promises...

That's sad... I was looking forward to seeing something different.

O well...

Happy shooting

I understand Tom's limitations, but was he sufficiently upfront about that before accepting the camera? If he was then fair enough.

However, seems to me that in return for access, he could go out and shoot some clips - at least ONE CLIP - just to show us (not related to his project) and share his opinion, clips not related to his movie, in his spare time. That's what Mark did. I understand Tom is on a shoot and has little spare time, but I'm saying one clip, that shows interesting observations. He could skip beer with the crew, and go out and shoot it - might take 15 minutes. I must say it feels like he is taking something of great value and giving basically nothing in return.

Chill down...

I have no idea about Tom, but there is something about respecting an honest answer. ;)

We will all get to see a lot of Dragon stuff everywhere in not too long a time. That is my bet.

+1

Where's the footage guys?

Hey Tom,
Are you going to post any videos mate...
Keen to see some art come out of the Dragon (and yourself) . My crash bash stress test didn't really answer every question :)
Looking forward to seeing something.

:lurk5:

You've gotta have more than one shot of an elephant eye and a 1080p elephant in water. There's more BTS pics than screen grabs. Can you post anything else?

I get NDA's, but you promised some stuff...

6K flamethrower just landed in Sri Lanka. Let's see what this thing can really do....

Stay tuned.

Obviously it's coming soon. Otherwise he'd written: "Let me see what this thing can really do…".

Of course, showing clips after general release to the public somewhat lessens the impact.

=)

Since the entire nation of Sri-Lanka is not under wraps, and I'm sure you could find at least ten minutes to go just shoot whatever some evening, I'm sorry, but I personally find your reply massively lacking. You get a beta camera, you shoot some stuff (on the side, if need be) to show other users, that's the kinda deal, it would seem to me, and a tiny price to pay for having one the first 5 Dragons on planet earth. You schedule challenges are fine and all, but I would imagine Mark has some too.

'It's a dream" adds nothing specific to my technical knowledge of Dragon's capabilities, nor anyone else's.

To back Tom here. When you're on a project sometimes you're under NDAs. Breaching that contract is not good for anybody. More over I've even had to wait years just to add material to my reel or website even after a project was released.

Tom had this prototype for a week and was able to capture some lovely imagery with it. Also, noteworthy here was he was rather sick during that time frame. He was able to share a few stills and it's likely we'll see the motion work "arise" in the future.

As much as everybody is eager to learn more about Dragon, patience must be demonstrated, there will be more cameras in the wild soon.

Breathe... ;)

Fair enough - I thought it was his to keep still now - I misunderstood
