  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Birger Lens Mount Reservations

Jason, two posts up from yours ;-)

Any new tracking numbers anyone? I just checked my inbox, and all I had was a lousy e-mail from Netflix saying they're going to start charging for blu-ray :angry03:

lol! ok. being a veteran of the birger thread has its drawbacks. i skim posts a little too quickly. One Cam posted it first.

Hey, don't worry. It's when you read every single little word in this colossus that you should be concerned for your well-being. ...not that I do that, or anything...

Just an email on how to enlarge my penis. Not from Birger

Could you forward that email about enlarging your penis?

Not that I need that to know how to enlarge your's...

:)

I can forward it for sure but note that is going to be useless. Dont come back to me, hu?

I haven't gotten any tracking numbers yet, and I'm definitely supposed to be in this first batch.

Been a long and productive day. I need to take a break. I need to get a few things taken care of tonight, like packing, sewing some suspender buttons on my tux pants... etc... my head hasn't been completely in the game, the engineering and production game, this week.

The positive is things are going smoothly. We test each step of the way, mounts are working, and working well. And the times that they aren't, the solutions are obvious, and following simple patterns allows for resolution of the problems. The intermittant problems just aren;t there any more. That is the definition of a shipping product. And we are there. Next week we will do the second ramp, scheduling production for mounts not even ordered yet... we will then look at adding additional labor as well. Parts in one end, turn crank, mounts come out the other side.

Ignoring the numbers for a moment, as two more days of production and shipping would have gotten us all to a happy place with the numbers, we have a stable shipping product. And we got here before the wedding.

Oh yeah, and the video from Rodney was pretty cool. Talked to him earlier today (just like aqua, he wants to know where his knob is), and I must say I am both a little jealous and a little proud. As to the former, a three week trip around the world with little more than a back pack and a camera. As to the later, travelling light and with access to any kit he wants, our mount got to make the journey...

Knob update when I get back next week.

[THURSDAY ADDENDUM]
I am off to the airport in a few minutes. There should be 25 more tracking numbers out on Tuesday when I return. Any mounts promised for shipment this week that didn't ship, will ship on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of next week. We have everything we need here.

Erik

Have a great wedding!

Do I hear 4,000 posts?

Do I hear 4,000 posts?

Lets go for 4,000 posts!!

And Eric have a great wedding!

About 12megapixel for the RED One, which is a super35mm sized sensor. He figures that the next chip will be full sized 35mm, which is about twice the size of super35mm. Thus he figures it would be in the 22 to 24 megapixel range.

P.S. I wrote a little blog entry about this interview, with links and prices of the equipment Rodney has used.

We're all anxious to get our mounts, but there are more important things in life - enjoy the wedding, and congratulations!! - from myself and I'm sure everyone else on the thread.

Best wishes!
