And for those who need a simple explanation on what goes on behind the scenes:

That's nearly how I do MTF. I use my sine zone plate, then plot a scanline and derive the contrast from the swing of the sine similarly. Nice with with the zone is it gives a good visual guide to aliasing which linear sine ramps don't, but both work great for MTF.

F65 for sale. Comment:
Upon reading this on a red forum, there is summoned to my bizarre imagination the notion of a man dressed in a crusader suit. There he stands, facing the oncoming masses at the ritual stoning of Satan during the Haj. He opens his good book, then attempts to denounce Islam and propagate his Christian faith in the expectation his message will prosper there. As one who has poked a stick in a sergeant ants' nest to see what happens, I am compelled to respect and admire people who live on such an edge.

[A]nyone with a tool that can deliver something like an Epic or Scarlet should be gratefull. I remeber dreaming of PD 150, PD570, HVX200, Varicam and eventually RED, but the only thing that actually made me better at anything, was using those tools I have and try to master them, not the dream of what I have not...

We tested Epic, Alexa and F3 against each other under identical conditions at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy last year. The complete results were published in Digital Production (Munich).

Very short excerpt:
The Epic is the least sensitive and has the highest resolution.
F3 and Alexa are more sensitive. Alexa and Epic have much better colors then F3.

Yes, the Tiffen Hot Mirrors are the best if you shoot with 0.9 ND or more.

Yes, Abel Cine is a very competent company.

Yes, we own one Epic and two Scarlets instead of one Alexa. And some Hot Mirrors.
