premiere pro cs5 5.0.2 update issue

i installed the update for premiere pro cs5 this morning, and some of my media went offline and i am getting import failure messeges as well as red importer crash.
anyone having the same problem? i read somewhere to clean the media cache, but im hesitant.

please help!
before i toss my computer out the window!

what do you mean by red importer crash? Do you have a crash report?

What is the import failure?

the error messege is
Importer RED Server.exe has stopped working

i just installed the update for premiere cs5 and now when i load premiere it starts conforming all my clips. then i have media offline. (even though all drives are internal) then on occasion the error messege pops up. I installed the update because we shot 4k with RED using mysterium x and i needed the change in color space. up until the update everything was fine. theres just something i've overlooked?

i was already editing project in cs5 installed the 5.0.2 update
and voila. problems.

Same problem here. Seems worse if I start moving anything before all clips are loaded - but it also happens randomly.

Ok, We found this problem... Obin was seeing it. It is crashing in the RED SDK (sorry Rob) and is fixed with later SDK's. I am doing my best to see if we can get a release out on later SDK's but no promises as of yet.

how about the time code issue. time code is completely wrong when you import r3d's into premiere from an fcp xml file

hey guys, im still here....same problem.....im curious about the SDK issue...has it been solved? should i download a free SDK for premiere? i have red giant plugins installed as well, could that be an issue? much appreciated..

I will respond to this note and hopefully answer the other questions in this thread. We have a timecode bug in ppro for certain formats (very few). RED is one of them. It only affects RED clips with audio in them. Unfortunately this isn't easily fixed in an update based on where the bug is. The workaround is to not have audio in the RED clip. This isn't a very satisfying answer. We are trying to get you guys a drop of the latest RED stuff we have in house through LABs or another means but it isn't always easy. We have some really great stuff that some lucky people on this board have seen coming and hopefully you guys will play with it soon. I have RED Log Film working and Rob is getting me an SDK with some fixes and Red Color2 and Red Gamma 2 today. There is also some stuff going on in that Recon thread that we are working with RED on. So in summary. Lots of great stuff coming and it is coming as fast as we can
