Also just received! I had one question. I just installed it, and with the little washers, there is a few mm space between the plate and the body. It didn't look so in the examples on this thread, there it looked like it fitted right on and would protect the module connectors. Now there is some space to gather dust there, did i do something wrong, or is there a reason for this? thnx!
I'm making the first protos this evening. I'll see if we can get some renders up today. Once the protos are verified I would expect to have them on the store this weekend and shipping next week.Any ETA on the AB version?
We probably could have been more clear regarding the top handle, I apologize. Unfortunatley there is only one place the battery could go on the back and we had to decide between blocking the power input connector or protruding upward above the camera. If it will not work with your setup then you can certainly return it for a full refund.I just received my VF battery plate. Although it looks very well built, there is at least one design flaw. Unless I'm mistaken, it's totally unusable with RED top handle facing backwards, when the handle is attached to a swat rail attached directly to the camera. Although Curt indicated that the handle "just clears", I feel this was misleading. Yes, the handle 'clears' the battery plate, but no, you can't have a battery in it and use the top handle because it will not clear the battery...at least not with my set up (see photo). Perhaps with a top plate the VF battery plate will work the way it should, but I can't confirm this because I don't have one yet (I'm waiting impatiently for my Tactical top plate). I feel, however, that I shouldn't have to put a top plate on the camera in order to use VF's battery plate with such 'standard equipment' as the Top handle.

Really love the simplicity and ease of mounting of this V- Battery Plate Solution...![]()
