  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Tom Lowe...

Beautiful pics Tom! I'm sure the footage is sprectacular.
Looks like you have two Manfrottos supporting your slider...same setup I use. But what are you using connect the slider? Are those the Manfrotto levelers screwed into the slider?

You'er as nutz as I am when it comes to getting a shot. Good to see others in the office with a view.
Cant wait to see the results of the work.
Did you get a chance to get some info on the REDvolt batts? Would really like to hear how they perform?
Is Mono salty?? I work in ocean water and man I spend about half the time cleaning gear after.
Cheers and Im sure its great work.

Looks like you need a pair of waiders Tom!

I would literally poo myself carrying an Epic in water, unprotected. Its like parking a ferrari in a volcano

Mono Lake tonight. :)
Commitment! That's the first thing I thought when I saw how deep you were in the water to shoot this Tom!
Really nice pics, can't wait to see the footage!

Tom are using the 100mm bowl mount to attach your head to the Cineslider or am I looking at something else here?

Yes, the 100mm "sidecar" attachment for CineSlider.

Very nice, looks crazy, almost unreal. May I ask if/what filters you used?

I had a .6 ND, then I pulled it out as the sun went down. So basically no filter. When you are shooting 96fps after sunset, you are struggling for light. I'm trying to keep the Master Prime stopped down when I can. It's sharp, but it's not as sharp as the Leica Summilux-C wide open.

Tom,

Sweet, this same day we were up at Sardine Lakes at Mono Pass! I think I see you right off the left shoulder of Karen here at 10, 600 feet????

Rendezvous?

Kennan, I thought I might have spotted your van up near Lee Vining! But I wasn't sure. I figured you were off in Alaska or something. I'm coming back up to Mammoth for a week with Eric Kessler and some friends. Let's meet up! I think we'll have a Canon EF mount this coming weekend! Let's shoot some wildlife.

Kennan/Tom, is it really necessary to flaunt your adventures in my face? I mean, photography/videography sessions up and down the entire west coast? Look up 'jealous' in the dictionary and you'd see a picture of me, arms crossed and brow furrowed.

Tom,

Sweet, I am all over a rendezvous!

I came back from a 6 week shoot in Alaska to finish some High Sierra work. Now my drives are full!!!!

Say, HEY to Eric, love to Ketchup, Mustard and relish some field time with the Guy's & wildlife!!!

I will be based in the same place! But higher as the snow finally melts! It has been spring time again and again!

Waterfalls are still Max-ed!

Mike,
Sweet, It is a good year to visit as snow-water levels are extreme and I mean 200 percent plus of normal. Break free and see for yourself. I am amazed that tourism is actually slow and at least during the week there was camp sites available at Tuolumne. The High Sierra camps are still not open as of Yesterday???? That is rare!

Replace jealousy with a road trip! See you out here!
