  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

So what can you do with a Scarlet-X...

RCX-PRO 8 + PSCS5: The Last Kiss in Pompeii
(just a couple of seconds before the volcano Vesuvius lava flow burned, melted and buried both of them in ash...a married couple, identity disputed)...

Great stuff!!!

Keep'em comming!

I'll basically be gone mostly from now until next wednesday, so I won't update the lists until then. But just fill it up, and then we can start the analysis

Cheers!

And happy Scarlets to whoever gets his or her first!

On my way to the plane, THIS seems like a worthy quote to remember:

About the Scarlet vs Epic:

As I said above, it's the ACICs that are lower-speed rated, the image sensors are the same.

Now, work them images!

:)

Cheers!

Hmmm . . . . I don't have one of those. Hmmm . . . .

I have tried to regenerate that problem, and haven't really succeded.

when u get a minute, could you try with the same image and the settings I posted earlier in the thread?
i have a feeling the variance may be related to just one parameter, or the amount of changes

I'll do that, but late next week. I am off from files and geekery right now...

Thanks for the content/idea/thread Gunleik. I had a moment to play with a few.

Thanks Phil!

Great to see!

I'll be updating the imagelists next week, but I think it is a good thing for all you Scarletteers to get into this stuff and have some fun with it to prepare for what is to come.

There really isn't currently any other camera but Epic, that will give you this much fun.

You still have to get aquainted with the cam.

In all modesty... I think this is a good way to get prepared. Try doing these shots with another camera!

Cheers

I agree. It was a great idea. Especially for those new to RCP and RedCode. I'm not exactly new to working with Red or Epic material though, so I cheated :)

@Justin: Thanks!

LOL
I guessed as much...

I do - however - think that it is enlightening to see the difference in results, and I do hope too, that people post their grades, even if they think they suck. Because I think that would be a great way to learn. You generally don't learn a lot by your successes... :)

au contraire ... why not ! ... ;-)

Hahahahahahahaha!

To a certain extent, I do agree.
But
My successes haven't prepared me very well for accepting my failures.
And how to deal with them
The lack of comprehension for unprepared situations and alternative ways to solve those issues, have not made me as good a survivor, as the solving of the totally unprepared and irrational stuff has occationally done.

That is when I have managed to solve it...

And this goes for imagery, too...

This was me playing around with RCX-Pro on my laptop. Nothing calibrated and I had to make a screenshot because I couldn't export a tiff to save my life. Seems RCX-Pro doesn't play well with my laptop video card.

But that is kind of the fun.
Seeing how far you can get with the tools at hand

Oh, I agree.

Here's another...
