Hey guys! I've been shooting a new web series with my scarlet. Still working on fine tuning my workflow but having so much fun with it. The first few episodes were shot with a variety of cameras (fs100, 5Ds and Scarlet). I've gotta rid of all my other cameras and so the latest episodes are all scarlet with a little bit of BlackMagic pocket camera in there.

Hope you guys like the content. I'm sure the production value will increase once I get into my rhythm with this camera.

These were all graded in Speedgrade - I used a REALA 500D lut as a base and then just did corrections and pushed the images towards whatever "look" I was going for.
I often use an output lut to settle in all my adjustments.​

The beta firmware that allowed me to shoot 60fps in 3k ws had just shipped the week we did this gig. I had never shot a real project on Beta firmware before, but it seemed meant to be.

Personally I still think you can see a giant difference between 3k and 4k on Scarlet, and I wish I had an Epic for this job (and pretty much every job). I think I did have to use the 19mm for that 60fps shot as well because of sensor cropping, which is likely adding a bit of softness as well, since it's the weakest lens of my set. I am definitely thinking of switching my upgrade from Scarlet Dragon which doesn't seem to currently exist to Epic-x.

Looks great Naim! have you viewed your 3k on a 4k display? We have done a lot of tests lately comparing its very difficult to tell.
