RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

This thread seems to be lost with all that is going on at NAB.
However to some of us it is very important to know how the schedule is going.
What number is the upgrades up to and have they improved their delivery methods.
Seems a perfectly legitimate question, all the new stuff is wonderful, but the upgrade to MX ?

my inside source couldn't give me a serial number, but he said that they were up to February 2008 (mine was delivered in March 2008 and is #1008)...so that should give you a marker.

I have a LONG LONG wait in front....still not in the 1000'th MX...I am 6340....any way all we can do is wait

Man am I glad I met Mr. Jannard at the Red Booth (NAB 2007) and took his advice to place my Red One deposit on the spot. :)

You probably don't remember that conversation... but Thanks Jim! ;)

Any official updates? No new email blast. Not a lot of reports from the user base recently either.

Any information from Red would be greatly appreciated. I will execute my camera for the stage 2 Epic-X package and will also be purchasing The RED Rocket™ Card/Mysterium X up-grade combo deal. Very excited to learn and implement this team's hard work. It pays my bills, it's allowed me to move to Chicago and work with so many great people/projects...

The opportunity just to be able to participate in this program is really unbelievable before Red's approach... But, this a very big deal to me as a business owner, as a filmmaker and I am certainly not alone. We simply need any opportunity that you guys can give us to do our very best to plan accordingly and make this up-grade path for all of us smooth.

Although I could not make it, it has been great getting caught on all the great news coming from NAB. I am dying to hear more about this Red HMI system and the fact that this project seems to born from the relationship between Red and B2Pro... This has to be my next step. When will this bomb get dropped?

Think it'll have anything to do with syncing a light source to the touchscreen montitor to adjust lighting from the camera? :emote_popcorn:

The RED Team were only anticipating about 20% of the RED One owners to upgrade. They are playing catchup due to the 85% who are turning out...

Where;d you get those numbers? Expecting only 20% seems waayyyy low to me

If you havent noticed..:emote_popcorn:

Joseph Hutson is the equivalent of Dick Tracy here on reduser
before NAB I always use to identify with his old avatar
and usual informative questions and input
and after NAB its was interesting to see how much he really cemented his
place amongst Red.
He probably got the number straight from the source
Keep up the good work Joseph :gun:

P.s. I also use to follow alot of your input Shawn

Well, I won't give exact numbers - but, yes, it was certainly more than we expected. And that is a good problem to have - the sensor being that amazing that everyone wants it.

And, we are just about out of the woods on our initial backlog and should be emailing the next batch eligible for M-X pretty soon. I am hoping as early as next week....
