  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

yeah, just as soon as I can get Redcine X to work on my machine without crashing. :nopity:

I am trying to download 187 right now. fingers crossed.
 
PC. I have been sending log files back and forth with Deanan. Problem for me is I have spent the last 48 hours trying to download Redcine 187, hoping this will fix it, but my net connection is terrible for downloads. My assistant is over at the lodge now trying to download it. Should know soon if it works. I can view the footage, but cannot export or render.

I'll see if we can make it smaller by removing some of the pieces.

My camera is probably one of the last to get sent in from this batch. It arrived at Red on 3/23. So by the time mine is finished they should be ready for the next batch. Will let you guys know...

Its a bit of a roller coaster.. we ramp up, then slow down a little, ramp up, then down.

We are doing our best.. but we are not out of the woods yet :)

Please do, as I think I should be part of the next batch. I've been waiting for the e-mail, and at the same time, I must admit I'm glad I wasn't in the last batch. The begining of the year was really slow on rentals, and it just started picking up recently, if my camera had not been available, it would have really hurt our business.

Dear Red, of course I'm impatient to get the M-X, but please don't do big batches unless you're sure of the turn around time. I'd rather wait and have my camera available, than wait with my camera at Red.

copy that... we learned our lesson on that one :)
 
Actually, it is a matter of having historical data now of (x) cameras blasted means we can expect (y) cameras in for upgrade. With everyone falling in love with the new sensor, we grossly underestimated (y) with the first few batches. Lesson learned...and we can be more accurate now in our planning. Faster turnarounds, etc - yup!

Yep- could that be made a little bigger? I think I missed it the last time I turned on the camera. ;)

In all seriousness- I would LOVE it if that could be removed all together from the startup, as it defeats the purpose of being able to see through the monitor right away as there is a huge logo that takes up the screen.
 
My RED was delivered early June 2008....cams that have had the upgrade, what was the last date of delivery?

Are we anywhere near calling in June 08 cameras?...be good to have an idea at least to plan work around.
 
Well Robert, I would have to say an uneducated guess would be december.

I am 1350 and don't think i will get the call for another 2 months
