Could be anywhere in the world today.
Pumped this out a few weeks back in Cape Town.
Was a crazy few days with baboons, Seals, Penguins, Antelope running through the back of shot. Its like working in a zoo !

I really like the tones the Dragon puts out with the new OLPF2. Very filmic.

Fuck, booooooomm. Love Africa :) Ehhe nice shot MAN Mark ;)

Thanks guys,
I didn't really like the concept Phil as it was a bit 1980's, but I still had to make something good out of it at least.
Hey happy clients, happy producers, that's the main thing.
Was fun & wild shooting in Cape town though. Lots and lots of things you can do their you'd never get away with in AUS or the US.

Funny you say that Mark I was going to say the concept was a little over the top. No reflection on you, I shot commercials through the 80s … but .. WoW! Beautifully executed, amazing images. Well done. I have been holding off on my Dragon upgrade while the bugs get sorted out but I think I am now convinced.. I got to get my camera off to Red.

Great stuff Mark! Must of cost a bit to rent the Canadair water bomber. Those guys are used to flying close and low when they fight fires, worked really well for your piece.

There was no plane. We just knocked it out quickly in 3d. Comped it all up in my laptop in my hotel room when I was shooting in NY 3 weeks back.

Hey, I'd get bored if I gave all the post away. :) it's a bit of a hobby.

The spot looks like a couple million bucks... Very nicely done.

There is no spoon.. :-)

Dang Mark, had me fooled. Had a very James Bond-esque feel to it, really liked it, call me old-fashioned.

Mark,

Nice work.
Great lookin' gal, by the way.

Jupp, those planes come at a better price when they are not real:

Very nice done I was thinking, must be 3D but then well it looked good so I figured maybe they got those kind planes down in SA.

how was the water drop from the plane done in the wide shot done? If there was no plane I guess that was particles/realflow or such, if so then that was really nice made as well. To the point where I did not even consider it to be CG.

We got a crop duster in for that shot and dropped water from it. Then put our plane over the top. :)
Yes turbo squid is my go to place for cheap models.

Nice work mark!

some really nice cheats in there, especially in that last scene.

cheers and thanks for sharing.

Once again amazing work Mark

I'm a bit curious about your workflow, do you edit and grade yourself? (It's just that you mentioned about doing the Water Bomber too)

Thanks once again for the stunning work Mr Toia
