  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Picture of a Weapon

Im still so curious about those front fan air intakes. With the audio at the back, it makes me really wonder if they made super quiet turbo intake fans.

Maybe be jarred will drop a new picture of the front?
I'd love to wander though italy for a week with this machine?

might not want a dumbside cage with all the controls there. The ac's are going to have a tough time figuring out where to hang stuff of this camera. Frankenrigs are so passé :) keep it clean.

Yeah no idea how to hang stuff on this. Im guessing on rails BEHIND the camera. Or maybe some small cage ribs on dumb/ac side..strategically placed...

Gonna have to leave space for those top fans to vent. Someone will invent something. :) But it is probably best to extend the body (shoulders better) and fly that stuff off the back. More wireless and smaller stuff would be revolutionary.

Just streaming wireless HD video and audio through a rear module would be cool and some form of lens motor control. That would be a mini revolution itself.

Front fan air intakes? I thought Jarred said those were mics on his earlier FB post.

The hazard/caution stripes and exclamation points would seem to indicate hot air comes out of the bottom rear or air gets sucked in through the bottom, so don't block the vents either way.

bottom. I don't think so. :) would make tripod mounting pretty much impossible. Those might be scratch mics built in, who knows, but the fan intake probably not on the bottom.

that makes sense, where all the electronic connections used to be before being moved to the dumbside.

gotcha.

I'm curious about the Lemo Adapter location on the camera?

Just a hunch but maybe the Legacy module for the older touch screen and EVF???

Those pictures could be front and back. Meaning two outputs, one for viewfinder, one for touchscreen. Top plates on this camera are going to be interesting.

I went from Red mx > Red epic > Red Dragon. And I don't care if they only add wifi and a bag of chips I'm with them for life.... Well unless run out of cash haha.

Nope. Professional ta3 mini XLR connectors same as the redone! I still have the audio snake that will plug right into that. Hopefully a mic line level switch in the camera firmware as well.

...not sure why you think those are XLRs. Is it because some folks said that's what they were at the beginning of this thread (completely ignoring the evidence)?

Take a closer look. They're 1/8" jacks aka 3.5mm (NOT ta3!!) ....just as I said they were in post # 13

But it also looks like it says headphone jack.

I think the mini xlrs are the ones below the battery. The 1/8 inch jacks on top look to be mic input on the left and headphones on the right. 1/8" Mic input may be for scratch mic or they may have implemented intercom capability.

Looking at the picture it seems obvious these are lemo power out below the battery, not audio.
Regarding the side connectors, it has been said this was the legacy I/O but other module(s) will come with different set(s) of plugs...

There is a photo some where in this jigsaw puzzle with ta3 connectors. Maybe this is The legacy module and there a similar one with pro audio upgrade.

Not sure. Looking closely one is headphones and the other is ???
