Hot Swap TOUCH and EVF

ummmmm, I forgot to power down and, well.. it works fine! Is it okay to hot swap? I remember hearing that you had to power down...

It seems to depend on the firmware you are running. In the past I've been able to hot swap no problem.

May I ask a possibly silly (and unrelated) question? Are REDMAGs hot-swappable in-camera on the latest EPIC and Scarlet builds?

Yes, always have been. Just be sure to un-mount the media before you pull it. That way it closes them properly if bits still need to be written. Just like un-mounting or ejecting a device on your computer.

I hot-swap LCD and EVF occasionally too. Hasn't given me any issues with the 2.x.x builds on EPIC. Camera usually doesn't like to show an image on the monitor or EVF though if I start up and none is connected.

Most times it works fine to hot swap but sometimes I have to do it one more time for it to work....... Some days it works perfectly and some days I have to repeat.......

I'm hot swapping all the time with Bomb EVF and 5" Touch – no prob on either Epic or Scarlet. I have a side handle, though.
