  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB13- RED MOTION MOUNT

How much light is lost in the most "open" state?

who cares when the dragon will be 2000 ISO... joking aside I'd love to know too and if not too strong it will be an amazing mount to have all time on camera...

does x8 means up to ND 2.4 ?
adjustable in 1/100 increment via camera UI is a cool feature !

So here's my prediction:

All these expensive parts can be purchased separately for existing cameras or as a complete unit being the all new Epic II. It will be cheaper to just buy the new body than all the new bits. Some will stick with their existing Epic with a couple new parts - others that want it all will take the $10000 trade-in allowance or whatever toward the all new camera body.

Looks like a solid thought...

Like the Tessive filter, but behind the lens? Awesome! I actually emailed them to ask them to make that!

If RED has created a global shutter variant that mimics what the Tessive does in creating a sine wave shutter function I am gobsmacked. WOW. I love the what the Tessive does, its frakkin' brilliant, but it's cumbersome and there's some light loss that can be an issue indoors.

Sadly, it's probably much more limited than that, but still a terrific addition to the system. Clever use of the modularity. Well done.

Only issue is that DRAGON is NOW and this is only FALL (at best) and as the camera is modular by nature, you can get the mount you want (starting next fall for this one that is)... I agree new fans will probably be on all new cameras tho...

Tom Lowe will be on this if is programmable to allow constant exposure as the sun sets or rises

Jarred Land "This is an important one"

That is a serious understatement, seriously seriously good, awesome

Pretty hard to imagine there isn't some link between this product and Tessive's announcement...

The potential behind this is really just amazing. Saves time, space, and money. Love it.

A significant improvement for aerial and remote head work.
We were working on e shutter type electronic ND thingy, for cams without filter wheels, I hope this is the solution!

Not many boxes left to be ticked!

This is my favorite announcement yet...... Drop that Dragon bomb Jarred!

Geoff Boyle did on CML earlier, "6K, 15 stops $6K upgrade from Epic 120fps at 5K"
