We are proud to announce REDLINK and the REDLINK Development Kit.

REDLINK is our open protocol that allows 3rd parties to completely control the camera via REDLINK modules or via Serial/Ethernet.

Also includes integrated THC wireless lens control module for wireless control of motorized lenses with any RED THC Hand Controller.

The REDLINK DEVELOPMENT KIT includes the REDLINK Bridge Module, USB Stick with Development software and quickstart guides.

RED.COM will have the REDLINK Development section up tomorrow.

$395. In Stock ready to ship. ( will be on RED.COM in the morning )

A great example of how 3rd parties have taken the REDLINK SDK is Mikeal from Foolcat who has created Foolcontrol.

Come visit our booth tomorrow to see Mikeal and the app in action or check http://www.foolcolor.net later on this week.

Here are some screenshots of Foolcontrol in action:

Lovely - and thanks for nice price!

I see easy off camera looks!

And so much more

glad i had a part at putting you two together...nice work.

I assume this is just for developers and not intended as a production model. Without a place to mount power this has limited on set application.

It looks like its "ending" the camera. :(
If so that's really odd, does not fly to well with that xl module i just bought...

Will there be a REDlink bridge, that can be mounted to the side with Serial/Ethernet out so the amount guys can use it?

And does this also mean that the RED designed camera control app is gone?

PS... please offer the USB stick in an empty version for us :) it looks sick!

And suddenly the Software Licensing Agreement that comes with Dragon makes much more sense!

Time to break out the programming gloves!

Really dig the wireless focus control over electronic lenses. That's going to be huge for some folks. I can see how something like this gets incorporated into motion control shoots.
