  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB 2011 update...

I never made it over to the RED booth last year.......Just booked my flight and hotel. Did RED have any cool swag or stuff for sale last year that we can look forward to as well as the KILLER gear?

Didn't miss much since RED didn't have a booth last year! :w00t:

They spent time on other stands as they were between releases.

THIS year however is going to be historical!
 
Well good for me!!! I am at the Riviera again this year......I would love to hook up with some RED folks!
 
I was going to stay at the Riviera this year, but my friend works at the new Vdara at city center, and got me a good deal I couldn't pass up. It's far, but I will just take the monorail. Takes you right to the convention center
 
I heard that place was pretty sweet. I guess that I am just to cheap when it comes to hotels.....I dont plan on being at the hotel much anyway.

I am so stoked to get to mingle with all the great RED folks. I just can't wait.
 
I can't be around but I really want to see the new reel...love the reels RED do! Just inspire
 
Very excited. This will be my first NAB and I reckon I've picked a good one!

Anyone staying at the Hilton?

Well you picked a good one to make for your first. The Hilton is great because it's on site and has the monorail at the front door. Might not be the newest and shiniest hotel, but it's hard to beat the convenience.

Always glad to meet a new friend from OZ.
 
Last time I was in the US I stayed Motel 7. The Hilton will be like a palace to me:smile5:
 
Well since this thread is about NAB, and at the risk of taking it too off topic, I would like to invite all of you to the 10th Annual FCPUG SuperMeet on Tuesday April 12 at Bally's Hotel. Lots of RED users there and each year it gets bigger and bigger.

Agenda is not yet set but we just booked filmmaker Kevin Smith who will talk about his new movie Red State. Also Alexis Van Hurkman will show off the DaVinci Resolve. We also have cool demos of Smoke, and Canon will be there showing off. Plus a bunch more not to be announced until shortly before the event.

Also Blackmagic Design has donated a full Resolve system with Control surface worth 29K to our World Famous Raffle.

Going to be a great show and we hope you all can make it. It's a lot of fun.

First time to NAB, first time to hold a RED, first time seeing RED footage on the big screen, and first time to make RED friends...I cannot wait to experience it all. See you all there!

If coming to NAB 2011 and visiting the RED booth in the South Hall to see EPICs, Scarlets, and REDray playing the new reel aren't enough... the surprise certainly is worth the trip.

Our booth will be SL6320. If you are anywhere near Las Vegas and don't stop by, you are... well.

Lets get this done already I have burning pockets and don't want to settle I shot my first music video using the Redone and cant see my self using any thing less I want to buy one and move back to Hollywood and Become famous lol.
 
Andrew - I take a backpack onto the show floor every year. It's a good way to lug the (limited amount of) printed material I might pick up, plus it holds my water bottle and lunch!
