  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

May Product Delivery Update

I'm pretty sure it's technically possible on the scarlet. We just have to wait... 1K, i don't know what it is and not sure i want to know !

You remember the 1st clip test of the scarlet ? it was a beautiful shot with a skater > 120FPS @ 2k...

I think they originally said that was with the 2/3 scarlet. I'm wondering if it was actually with the current Scarlet. Reason I say this is because after you downloaded the file it was 1024x540 i'm pretty sure. While it looked great...not much purpose in that resolution.

I'm excited to have it to play around with but it really serves no purpose outside of the few green screen things you could do. 120 fps at 2K is a reasonable request in the form of a burst I think, but who knows. I wish they would do something in that form of a release like that. While RAW is incredible, sometimes frame rates are necessary and new cameras are coming out that offer that at a much lower price than RED offers.

Jarred said he had cropped that image on export.

2.5k sounds interesting.. will add it to the list.

Anamorphic is not out of the question for Scarlet..

Gyro support means we have turned on the sensors... info will be sent to metadata for various programs to work with.. all that work obviously needs to be done as we work with 3rd paries.

Hey Jarred, would it be possible to extract any gyro data from shots done previous to this build, or is it only going forward?

BTW, nice meeting you in person this year at NAB!

Hey! I just noticed the beta firmwares are no longer up on the download page...

RPPs.. Like I said get them while you can. The ones on backorder will not be out of backorder any time soon.. and there is no new updated version of RPPs coming any time soon.
