Any chance you could integrate a rec. trigger at the top for thumb and a focus wheel for index finger on the front side of the grip that could integrate with say tilta nucleus-m via lemo? Compatibility with DSMC2 would be awesome too. I would buy a few...

So I have the Tilta cage for my Komodo.. and I've noticed my xlr to 3.5mm plug is digging into the cage as I attempt to plug into the mic input on my Komodo. I noticed I was also not getting audio into the designated channels. Seems as though, due to the design of the 3.5mm side of the adapter (being totally flat), it can't plug in all the way because the cage is preventing it from doing so. I have scratches on the cage now from the adapter. A simple "fix" was to just remove the left side of the cage and all of the sudden audio works since it can now plug in all the way.

My question is, has anyone else noticed this?

I feel like a solution would be to get another xlr to 3.5mm adapter cable where the 3.5mm side isn't totally flat (where the body of the camera meets the adapter after being plugged in). My headphones 3.5mm plug has a threaded end so it's technically more tapered and also the cage doesn't affect that particular input on the Komodo. But my theory would be that if the mic cable had this same "tapered" end it wouldn't prevent my cable from plugging in.

Hope any of this makes sense. I don't have time to buy another cable before my next gig so I have to just not use my left side of my cage until I figure this out, which isn't great because i need that side for cold shoe mounting.

Was asked how you mount the Mutiny IO port expander to the Komodo, so I put together this graphic as a visual to show the many ways. Via 1/4-20 on left or right side, tethered from top or bottom, 4 position 15mm rod clamp. There is over 1000 combinations for mounting. Basically you can mount it anywhere on or off the camera. A big favorite with gimbal ops and users wanting ultra lightweight modular setups.

You should consider a little right angle bracket that screws in like the rod mount. I eventually found a good way to mount mine, but it would be nice to have a way to mount it where all the plugs are pointing away from the camera. That said most of my issues stemmed just from not having many options of places to screw it in towards the back.

Either way it’s a great little box. I use it all the time and will. Still use it a bunch even after I make a couple custom spider cables for specific applications.

Has anyone found good run/stop options aside from the Red handle? I'm most interested in a modular side handle (Arri rosette or nato) with a run/stop button, and I'd consider also getting the Bright Tangerine top rail with run/stop so as to avoid running more cables to the back/needing a breakout box.

Does anyone have feedback on Tilta or Smallrig or Blue Kondor options?

I've got the BT R/S nato rail pair with a mutiny red button trigger. Bolt it on some GDU grips, or top handle or whatever. I feel lost without it.

If you don't need the EXT Breakout options. The Bebob Coco-modo (i think that's it) is really solid. Accessory power switch, 2 lemo out, 1 lemo in (hot swap). Feels like it's part of the camera.
