Ben, thanks for answering. I am just confused about all the positive feed back this yet to be released pice of kit is getting. Are you able to fill me in on what it is I am missing? The FF looks good but has anyone tested it yet, or reviewed it? I am interested but it would be nice to hear about it's performance prior to purchase.

Well, it's the first low priced follow focus I have seen with all of the features of a real one. From the looks of it it may be compatible with chroziel gears, it has a swing arm, a quick disconnect attachment system, the gear can go on either side, the swing arm means it uses a belt with is pretty easily adjusted to get the proper amount of back lash as long as the gear box doesn't suck, and it has a dumb side extension. Basically it has all of the pro features of a $4k system. I also think the design is handsome and well thought out. So, if it doesn't suck, it's a big deal ;-)

Under features, it claims to have "adjustable backlash" if that answers your question. Of course, this is just on paper until physically tested.

i have the r2 from shoot35 - how they were named back then. it was probably the best FF for budget DSL rigs... out there. If this is on the same level as that was for DSLRs... its gona be awesome
