  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First Look - Schneider Xenon FF-Prime Lenses

Much like the time leading up to the first set of Xenon's shipping. Everyone had different answers and it seemed that Schneider was giving different answers, depending on which day of the week you asked them!

AFAIK, I'm still #1 in line at Duclos Lenses for the next two…

Yeah true.

That is good Jeff, of course it matters also if all retailers get the lenses at once or whom gets them first... But either way it seems that Schneider have been very good on getting the product on all retailers at the same time.

But the 25 & 100mm will make the set nice , and the 18 & 135mm will make it a very nice set, I would not want anything else on the wider end while still would welcome a 180mm MACRO... :)

I'd love a 60mm and 180mm macro!!! 180 is asking a lot, I'd settle for 150 or even 120...

Btw, with the crazy schedule since NAB I foot completely to post about the Schneider 95mm Screw In Variable ND, an extremely valuable piece of glass to have and can't wait for full production to hit the market, as I know many will want one... :)

But I need to add that it does not actually "CLICK" form stop to stop, but it rater smoothly darkens the scene gently stopping down the light intake.

But please as Schneider told me, don't look too close at it, as the Production version will be different... For the better... So since I already love it as is, this is great news... :)

I hope that 18mm will not be $10,000 ;-)

I understand that they kept the 18mm cost relatively consistent with the rest of the set, contributing to its slightly slower speed.

Another veiled new lens announcement?

no,
i am just saying i will be shocked if this does not sell soon. It must be the best buy for US boys on Planet.
but Paul
Otus 21mm f1.4 is around the corner :-))))))))))

Absolutely agree and while I have always offered great deals, I would never sale this set of Xenon this low if I wasn't getting a free one Sponsored... :)

But since I am, I though to have some one else also enjoy this great lenses at a great price.

Shooting in Utah this week. Only brought my epic and Schneiders Xenons. Gotta love the 75mm.

Any news on the Vari ND?

Any news on the Vari ND?

While there are similar Vary ND of different construction and size, for this particular one as shown in pic, that screws in directly in to any 95mm threaded lens, there hasn't been a release date as of yet, I'll know more shortly and will report, for now I am enjoying the Prototype as show in pic... I'll showcase it in anew thread with detail pictures once I receive the Production unit.

But I do love the concept of this one, and as you can see I have been using it when not using an MB.

BTW: I like to add that this "Proto" unit is way better then many "Release" similar items I have purchased in the past!!

Beautiful Shot Jon!!

Thank you very much Ketch. Hope everything is good with your projects. Would love to see your Variable ND in action.
