  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X UPDATE

We will most likely still be stage 2 on your birthday Per. Remember.. after assembly ( not 5 minutes btw... not sure where that came from. ) There is days worth of testing and QA for each camera... we don't just bolt the pieces together and then throw it in a box and hope it turns on when you get it :)

...

But don't worry.. I am not trying to scare you.. there will be a nice steady pace of cameras being popped out of the oven.. our manufacturing facility and the people running it are incredibly strong.

Very helpful, thanks! I'm happy to do at least one more project on MX #2464. She's been a helluva friend... I'll miss her on the trade in :-(

Then don't trade her in. Keep her as a collectible that you will never forget. I wish I had kept my 1st car. I spent 15 years looking for her and wishing I had never sold her.

Just saying'.

Is there any chance that there will be some kind of financial incentive for Stage 3.5 owners to hold on to their Red One?

Breaking up is hard to do.

Not every incentive is financial.

People who are paying attention won't be hurt.

Jim

We are paying attention...eyes wide open... Can't sleep... Just waiting for the email... Funds already in the Red account...

It's the generosity of your trade-in offer that makes keeping the R1 almost prohibitive for Stage 3.5 owners.

If we keep the Red One ... we lose our place in line ... and pay the new $35,000 Stage 4 price.

No way we're passing on the Epic.

Thanks for all the new info. I'm so happy! It's also nice to see you persevere and get product moving after all the tragic events in Japan.

Being a stage 2 X owner is a great privilege.

Why?

Because the M program raised the value of the investment. What a great investment EPIC is. The value of the camera is far far higher than the day I put the deposit down.

It's been great watch the EPIC stock rise.

Many thanks for protecting your "early" investors in this way.

Stage 2 was keep your RED ONE and keep your place in line.

Missed that cut-off, so I am Stage 3.5.

No worries ... It will just be sad to send it back.

Apologies Jarred. I think I got 5 minutes based on a previous comment you made:

once we start shipping :)
I could tell you good our assembly guys have gotten and how few minutes it now takes to build a camera, but you wouldn't believe me :)

Given the excitement of this thread, I think I might have miss-read the "few minutes" as five minutes!!!

:-)
