  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

...becomes the RED Door Stop. It holds the door 3 times as fast as a normal box, though. :-)

No offense, RED. But we are excited about seeing this thing perform and to be so close... Looking forward to seeing the drivers/software hit. Will it be today?

Kevin, don't get Deanan killed from exhaustion. :-)

I think these guys are working around the clock to get this stuff available. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing this stuff in action. It's a very exciting time in RED world.

There is no bigger tease than having a piece of gear when you're missing a cable or something else to make it work. In this case, the software/driver!

I am sure once the driver is uploaded, I will make no more jokes about it being a door stop. :-)

For me it has been every day. Just to share a personal note, my greatest experiences so far with the RED are the incredible moments I've been able to capture of my daughter as she has gone from crawling to walking. I know it's not the most practical use of the camera, but there's something about capturing these moments in 4K with 35mm lenses that has provided me with a unique look and images that will hold up very well years from now.

If I do nothing else with the camera, it would still be worth having those images and I can't thank RED enough for that.

Still waiting...and trying not to post too much that RED has yet to release the software to make this thing run. :-)

Without the new REDAlert, there's nothing to report... Hopefully soon. I know they are busting it to get it out.
