For something that will be permanently attached to many peoples cameras - I guess many would pay extra to get a (slightly lighter) Magnesium version rather than Aluminium.

It would be great to have that option when the time comes.

So this side handle looks very cool.

Some questions. It appears that the actual handle is replaceable. How do you remove it?
What is the function of the scroll wheel (reminds me of the eumig mini 5 handle!)
Does it allow you to scroll through menu's or dose it have some other kind of functionality?
What have DSMC2 users been doing for a side handle before now?

Correct, Mike. We charge at invoice (ie, once your product is being picked for delivery). We do the $1 auth to confirm valid credit card. That usually is purged by your credit card company in a business day or so...

Just got my invoice for the side handle and have to pay now, otherwise my order is deleted. Does that mean it's ready to ship? I thought it's going to be released in fall.

Just got contacted by my Rep. Seems it was because of the V-Lock Adaptor that was also part of the order. This one will ship in the next weeks. Sidehandle is still estimated to ship by september.

You have to buy the wooden handle pieces from Wooden Camera I believe. It replaces the black handle from RED.

The wood trim shown is a piece from Element Technica (a RED subsidiary) , but Wooden Camera should definitely be making wooden handle inserts as well, for obvious reasons.

Yeah, now I wish the Hasselblad's handle were like this. It would really help to hold the 210mm. Anyway - ordered.
