Awesome. That looks great, not that I'll ever have 12 SSD's but it doesn't hurt to have the space as long as they still stay secure in there even if only 3 or 4 are in there? Or do you plan to have a small case that holds say 6 or less SSDs? I like the clear top.

So confused, the quote says tonight, the post says tomorrow heh...

either way that's SO AWESOME!

I'm buying one for sure, 64GB x 12 = 768GB... though I prefer the idea of the 128GB x 12...but that's a crazy about of cash

what made you guys shoot for 12 instead of a smaller number like 4 or 6?

Looks very nice! 12 is a great number for this case, because 95% of shoots won't shoot more than that in a day, so you can just have one "Exposed" case and one "Unexposed" case.

We can buy this on RED.com tomorrow? Count me in! Thx Jarred!

Wow, if each of those were the 256GB ssd's thats $38,000 in that little thing!

Hence why i stated " Clear top so you can make sure you have all your loot. "

heh heh heh.

Jarred, two questions:

Are you guys still making the end caps for the SSD's or does this case take that away?

Are you guys planning on making a smaller capacity case? (personally I won't need 12, although I'm sure plenty will)

Just a side note: if you were to make say a case to carry maybe 6 cards, I'd still buy it for 40, no drop in price! Haha

+1 to Nik's question of the smaller case. I'd love a 6-pack. I'm starting out with 6 SSDs on my M and then will be kitting out my Stage-2 next... That aside, I'm also not too keen on keeping $20-$40K of eggs all in the same basket. And that's just the cost of the media, not to mention what might be stored on it.

I would also be interested in a 6-pack case. I could keep the empty SSDs in one and the full ones in another case.

I think most productions would 6 SSDs would be enough - be it 64GB on smaller or 256GB on larger productions. Having too many small cards can get confusing.

Question about the Outrigger Handle. It comes with three bolts, which are the same length as the LCD bolts. They are not long enough to mount LCD -> Outrigger Handle -> EPIC. What length do I need?

5/8" works for me.. but you need to be careful that you don't get bolts that are too long and go through the bits and bore through to far.. you would think people would stop when they hit metal but I cant tell you how many people have had R1's fixed because people used too long screws and decided to torque all the way through 5mm of solid aluminum into a fan.

I prefer to use self-tapping screws myself! Makes it easier to get into the gooey center.

Every Day is like Christmas... A whole whack of new stuff going live on the website right now.

Awesome! Thanks Jarred!

Quick question- why isn't the Red One Riser Pack compatible with Epic? It seems like it'd be a great solution to be able to integrate the rails into the Quick Release system...
