  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC Accessories

I just picked mine up today..here is a crude iphone photo of one of the many configuration possibilities. The Red DSMC aks is so badass.

There are videos that show how certain accessory devices work.

It would be great if in the store, each specific device would include a link to its specific demo video.
For instance, the videos for the quick release system answered a lot of operational, and compatibility questions for me.

Sorry. Just now noticed the video links for the individual quick release platforms.
I think it would also help if the video links were included with the "pack" post, and the individual rail mounts.

don't worry.. ill get to shooting some more of those videos soon.

and the store is being updated to show any related videos that may pertain to the product as well :)

Tonaci,
is that Angle piece that the LCD screws to on the store yet? if so, i did not see it.

....then would you mind laying out what other pieces to fit the rods and handle as well. I got the swatt rail and sliding handle which l like very much, but have yet to see how to mount rods.

Has anyone got the 15mm universal mount to sit with an offset on the quick release platform dovetail? Mine is sitting evenly on the front of the quick release platform and not with an offset so 15mm lens support is not lining up. There is no manual offset on the platform that I can see, like how ET does it with their hybrid.

Quick question....I am looking at buying a used Arri FF that uses 15mm rods. As far as spacing, it looks like it would use the 15mm Adaptor (Centered) from the Red Store attached to the Quick Release platform. Since this Adaptor is set higher than the normal Universal mounts, I was just wondering if using the Red 17-50 with the Red clip on matte box would work. Since the rails are higher, would the matte box hit the rails? Also, I believe that Red has said they are making a swing away option for the current matte box. Anyone know if it will be 15mm or 19mm compatible?

Here is a link to the FF that I am interested in. Is this a good investment for the Epic? Or do I need a newer 19mm compatible FF? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jarred or Brent,

Any update on the Electronic Canon Mount? I know Jarred was thinking the end of June.... :)

The adjustable top mount from the first page does not appear to be in the store. Is it just a late bloomer?

Hey Tonaci

I like your back RED BRICK mount, what accessories did you use to make it like that?

Eden is correct, it is the the Red Quickplate attached directly to Brook's FMJ top plate.
The redmote cannot be removed in this config, but you can easily extend it out using wooden camera's easy plate.

Below is an option that allows full access to redmote using leftover parts in Blair Paulsen's goodie bag.
