That still doesn't count because the hardware has changed since then...
...Besides, that doesn't show the strengths (low-light and dr advantages) of Dragon...

I really don't get the ongoing requests for frame grabs. Would I like to see how Dragon footage looks...? For sure. But I know shipping doesn't start until September. I'm on the upgrade list. I know footage will come before September. And even if it didn't, I'd still buy the upgrade. I know Red will deliver the goods.
The Dragon is late. But he just showed up and he is wicked pissed off... run for cover.

People just want to see the goods
How about another short like "Tattoo," but with Dragon this time? Would love to shoot some material! Would be nice to have a mix of daylight and lowlight to show off the sensor.
Sounds like that may have been what they were doing with the Christopher Probst shoot.

Actually now that I think of it with Dragon coming out relatively soon....
If you haven't seen it in a while or haven't seen it at all, everybody should watch TATTOO real quick, which was posted on Reduser over two years ago.
It's sort of neat to look back at that now.
The Hobbit has been shot on Red's Epic cameras. We used prototype cameras in our first weeks of shooting, after conducting extensive testing. They were then replaced with production models as the shoot progressed.
Now, in our last week of shooting, Jim Jannard at Red has sent us an early model of their next generation camera "The Dragon". The Hobbit is Jim's favourite book, so I suspect the name is more than a co-incidence!
We won't be using the Dragon for Hobbit shooting during our last two days, but it gave the camera team a welcome diversion, and they have launched into full-on testing, including having the new camera positioned alongside our Epics so we can compare the two images directly under the same lighting.
Red have singlehandedly pushed digital cinematography into realms undreamed of 5 years ago, and we're looking forward to getting our first glimpse of images from The Dragon.
Today on Facebook Peter Jackson posted an image of Dragon out in the wild:
