Anamorphic Desqueeze Ratio

Hello,

I just bought an Iscorama Anamorphic front lens to put in front of my Leica primes.
They are not Leica Cine Lenses, they are Leica M mount lenses I put in front of my Red One just as Sanjin once did before.

Thing is amazing ! I just did a few tests and the result is awesome.
Of course not as good as real Lomo anamorphic primes but… Quite good somehow ! Flares and everything ;-)

Question is :
My Iscorama ratio is 1.5x. And as I understand it, Anamorphic ratio into the Red One menu and RedCineX is (only?) 2x.
So is there a way to change or adapt the ratio in the Red One camera and RedCineX or should I just let this desqueeze thing for later post software ?

Just crop and desqueeze in post yourself. Red in ANA mode doesn't doing any desqueezing other than for monitor output, otherwise it is just recording a 1.20 : 1 crop of the sensor to save on data and having to do it yourself (the image has a 2X optical squeeze so 1.20 becomes 2.40.)

Desqueezing in post is not really my problem.
As Anamorphic lenses squeeze are plural (Hawk lenses are 1.3x for example) why do RED only offer 2x monitoring and viewing mode in RedCineX ?
It can sometimes be tricky looking at my RED LCD and the picture with the wrong ratio.
Same issue in RedCineX trying to grade properly.
Don't you guys using Anamorphic lenses think it would be cool just to be able to choose the monitoring ratio in your RedOne and RedCine X?

Maybe because 97% of all anamorphic photography uses 2X squeeze lenses? Mainly an issue of priority, anamorphic is already a small subset of photography and 1.3X or 1.5X versions are an even smaller subset of that. Most Hawk anamorphic lenses are the 2X variety.
