What about different GPUs? I have tw Quadro FX4800 in my Z800. Would this hack work fine with them?

Can you please PM the Machete link as well I have recently purchased Z800 and like to convert it to Hackintosh.
Any help will be appreciated. Also can you please tell me if you have any ATI cards working with Machete build 2 or 3.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Luigi. What a fascinating and informative thread you've started. I very much enjoy reading your posts and those of Jeff Kilgroe and appreciate the clarity with which you both present yourselves. I see you've expressed some confidence that the Z820 might be a good candidate for a hackintosh. I understand that you don't have one to test directly. Do you believe Machete would install and function on that machine? Can I ask the community if any Red Users have tried it? If I'm going to pop for a new tower I think I'd rather base it on the Z820 rather than the Z800, just for the USB 3 if nothing else.

@Cameron:

I am searching for a similar solution - OSX on a Z820 with working USB3 etc. Maybe i will try to install Mountain Lion soon, i did a manual install on a Z800 in the past. This machine works fine til today. But a 12-core Z820 would be more efficient to work with. I will post here asap.

and not because of a T7600?
I think it's better as cooling, having 2 pcie up slot separated!

I'm just saying ...

Okay, Luigi. Haven't even looked at the Dell, but I certainly will now. Thanks.

Thanks for taking point, Fabian. I'm looking forward to your results.

Ahh. Yes, Luigi. I can see the cooling benefits of the T7600 vs. the Z820. At the risk of sounding greedy and lazy, any chance you might develop an ISO for that machine that we could try? I think I like it better than the HP. Thanks again.
:iagree:

Scratch that request, Luigi. I've decided to take Jeff's suggestion and wait a month for the Ivy Bridge V2. Planning to get a stable dual xeon windows system up and then pray somebody like you manages to hackintosh whatever motherboard I use.
