  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Better yet, can they beat August 31st? That means everything has to be shipped by Friday! (or Saturday if they don't mind working on the weekend)
 
Well, more two posts and we'll all be at the page 300. Bizarre.

I'm just wondering if the Nikon will be out there during October, as predicted.
 
I've missed working on a lot of projects while waiting for the Birger mount, but there's something coming up in a couple of weeks that I really can't afford to miss. Erik, consider this a personal plea. (And if you need an extra beta tester for those knobs, you know whom to call.)

absolutely great achievement yours, and no matter the obstacles here you are " NOW SHIPPING" at last, fantastic my friend.

Please advise your assistant that I have sent few e-mails as to inform you that I'm also ready to take delivery of my unit, as the need for some of my new Canon lenses is urgently needed for some Areal and Nocturnal shots here in Vegas.

Please rent or borrow a PL lens if this doesn't ship on time. Don't pass up work with this camera. You're missing a lot of fun. :biggrin:

I know I'm missing a lot of fun — believe me, every time one of these projects passes me by I kick myself — but there's just no budget for lens rental. It was hard enough to convince my bosses to "go RED" with the promise that I'd use my own Canon lens collection. If worse comes to it, I could get the $500 Nikon mount and use my handful of Nikkors, but the Birger has always been just a week or two away... ::fingers crossed::

I hear ya. Is there anyone in your area who could lend you a PL lens for a short time? Even if it's a S16 lens. It doesn't even have to be in great shape.

Hope this all gets settled for you soon. I'm sure this mount is going to be great. I'm looking forward to seeing what people are able to do with it. I think it's going to be fun.

I'm in same boat. I lost out on two projects this summer due to the Birger delays. These particular projects weren't paying enough to justify a lens rental, they were mostly favors for friends. It was frustrating to be unable to help them out though. They always ask me now, "when are you getting that lens mount?", and I say "It's scheduled to ship next week!". Then they laugh and roll their eyes.
 
Nearing post #3000. Let's leave it for Birger to say, "We're shipping today!"
 
Erik, figuring that Friday won't cover all the mounts, will you be shipping any on Saturday? Even if it's only a two day difference in shipping between Saturday and Monday, it would help me defend the purchase if you could make the end of August deadline.
 
You must watch some awful movies. This thread is torture.

When working for money, here's the way to approach this: If it's not in front of you and workinig, it does not exist.

Follow that rule and you won't be let down or miss work.. Get the nikon mount..A good thing no matter what you buy
