  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Debra and I are building and testing today. When we have enough to complete the batch we will start shipping. Amy and I will be shipping whatever is left to go on saturday. The month end deadline for the first batch is a very symbolic and important one for me too.

I probably will not be answering the phone today...

Erik, has there been any testing yet of Sigma/Tokina EOS lenses? I'm interested in whether that acclaimed Tokina 11-16mm will work with the Birger mount's electronic focus.
 
I have the Tokina 11-16 2.8 and a production Birger mount. The mount controls the iris no problem. Focus goes through the test like all my "L" series Canon glass but until we get Knobs we don't have proof. I am sending my Tokina and my Canon 85 1.2 to Erik next week for evaluation.
 
In my emails the reference number is 114.091830. Does this indicate my position and if it does all the numbers after the decimal don't look inviting, lol.

Everybody wants there Birger now but lets not bug the guy if we don't have too. He is working his butt off so lets let him do that and we will all get our mounts sooner.:red_bandana:

Hi all. . .

I am one of the original orderers of the Birger system (the first batch), but I've been so busy filming and there is apparently so much action on this site that I have no idea where Birger is at the moment. I'd try to wade through the thread, but I'm now buried in post.

Accordingly, I'd like to know if there is a central resource that can bring me up to date on shipping status. I want this system, but only when it 1) really works, and 2) has the wireless operative.

When will I likely be able to see both 1) and 2) come to pass?

Did you receive any update email from Birger these days, Paolo? Me not. Still waiting.

BTW, already in Prague? I had some touch with Andrea. Simpatico. Roma sta incredibile, troppo cara. An open space sort of studio, loft, whatever, in Trastevere, has increased the price almost 50% in just 30 days!

from Birger i`ve received just last week the email announcing shipment 26/27 of august. I`m thinking to crash at the Widding Wedding and run with the lobsters.

Now i`m in Samos till Tuesday then Prague then Rome at the end of the week. Hope to meet you there if you resist. Cant understand the Trastevere price fluctuations. Ready to help for some accomodation. Yeah, Andrea simpatico, he does give this impression the first time... :-)

what we know at this point, is aqua, mark crabtree and mike have birgers but no focus knobs and no bluetooth remote.

I'm sure erik is moving as fast as he can.
 
Geez. . .

Is there an estimated, REALISTIC ETA for the knobs and bluetooth?
