  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Don't want to even glance at the gift horse's mouth - but I think this is a valid point. I'd be happy to pay the difference to get a pro I/O in my Epic package - assuming that the pro I/O will be ready at the same time as basic?
 
Me, too. Happy to pay the difference. Just common sense to not waste so much material, shipping, etc. when the non-Pro I/O will be taking space on shelves. Hope RED can make this the one area of package flexibility.
 
It's amazing. We need Epics.
 
the waste of resources seems to be the best argument in the basic vs pro audio board... It is my opinion that if you use or rent out a Epic you will more often than not face demand of the pro-module... especially if the onboard electronics are in the league they should be in. So if you invest in a 28000usd+++ system your clients/yourself will need fullsize xlr... digital outputs....

Lower budget shoots, now using 7d,d5...scarlet (in future), will not have that demand as price is their major concern.
 
I also would be happy to pay for the upgrades, and avoid the waste!

Can't wait for my camera!

Having just completed reading through all 24 pages of this post, I can honestly say that i am thrilled for the response RED is getting on the EPIC. It was exciting as hell just to read all the posts, you can feel the vibe in each and every reply. Congrates to the RED TEAM and all those now waiting on delivery of their NEW EPIC!!!
 
At LAST!! Successfully Reserved/Order my "2" EPIC-X Stage 2!! This Summer/Fall I will have a KICK A%$@$# S3D Rig with the PULSAR!!


Brent has been truly an incredible MAN @ WORK followed by Nate and company, seriously what a Company, I know Jim is got to be so PROUD of his Team!!

Only problem is that I think I order double Hoops 4 Epic-X?? He he.

You don't know how proud I am of the entire team. Brent and Kelly have not slept much... along with just about everyone else.

agreed, please give us the option to update to the pro-module...i need proper connectors.
