F.Y.I. If you are getting ready to buy a MacBook Pro 17", save $1,500

[Joseph Hutson]

I am not from SmallDog, but I bought my MacBook Pro 17" from them a year and a half ago with a similar deal, so I wanted to let you know about it.

MacBook Pro 17in 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB/200@7200rpm/High-res Screen, FREE 3-day Shipping! $2,299.99 http://www.smalldog.com/wag18061/

Same thing from Apple would be $3,748.00

Just trying to help save you some cash.

[Peter Majtan]

? Is that for real, or is is a typo?
BTW the Apple will charge $3399,- for this - but that's still $1.1K saving!

[Paul Hazlett]

is this a refurbished unit?

[Thom Steinhoff]

Looks like new macbook pros are coming out in a few weeks. These may be "clearing out the old" but for those looking to buy the latest, you might want to hold off...

[Martin Weiss]

Great find, thanks.

11 days left...

This special expires in 11 days or while supplies last.

Yeah, Sorry. When I got mine, I thought it was a refurbished at first, but smalldog.com was great, and I went through the deal very smoothly. I am by no means affiliated with them, just passing on the news.

I am actually typing on the Mac I bought from them now, and have had it for almost two years.

NIce Joseph...thanks a lot...thats a deal hã?

Well, not this week, I guess.

BTW, the original offer just got extended for another 28 days - wonder if that means a 4 week delay before the new Macbook Pros see the light?

That is a great deal. Even the refurbished unit on Apple's site is $2,699 and only has 2GB ram. But again, another few weeks and these will be seriously outdated. Current MacBook Pro technology is fairly old. There is also the possibility that Apple improves specs and drops the price.
