Well, why don't we go together and close down that f**king (monkey) business. I ordered my units 12/22/2008. Over two years, and many of us has been waiting for far longer. No one will ever get anything from View Factor anyway - units or refund. Not a single word either as it seems (and I have e-mailed several times).

Sorry, but I'm so pissed....

Stumbled onto this thread after not caring some time ago. Sorry to hear that this is still going on.

Just a thought:

I've paid USD 2 262 for my Red One Motor Package. How many orders do you think VF have taken money for?

10 units = about USD 22 000 in total
100 units = about USD 220 000 in total
200 units = about USD 440 000 in total

Between 100 and 200 units is my guess - a lot of greens...

Curt had posted the orders at one point. Someone emailed them in spreadsheet form. However, he stopped posting order numbers after august 2008, so I know there are more than in the list. My estimate from the known orders is about a 1/2 million dollars. Obviously there is more than that, but probably less than double. So add a couple hundred thousand more. Its a fairly large pot of money.

Let's assume that Curt really has refunded 1/2 of the orders as he claimed in a prior post. That's still a couple hundred thousand dollars. I'd think that the local DA might be interested in a criminal fraud case at that level. Certainly an attorney would take on a case for civil fraud or breach of contract. Not sure if a class action would be in order.

What is the procedure in debt recovery in California? Is there any debt collection agency we could use?

Here's how I see it. I doubt that if we take class action we will truly be refunded, but right now I think that they're truly taking the piss out of all of us. You see him run around doing all these other things with the 5D community, totally disregarding any of his responsibilities towards us. This to me is unacceptable and therefor I just want to take action. I feel ashamed over how much I defended them in the beginning, but I truly thought they we're decent hardworking guys, that was really trying to make this happen. I don't anymore.

5D community... maybe we should notify our cinemathographer friends on the SLDR-side that there is good chance that they will newer recieve their not working cages that they paid for up front with their own hard earned money. Just a thought....

you are all just talk and ViewFactor know this.
They have had your money for almost 3 years and have gone into hiding and all this talk on the forum about legal action and going and knocking on their door is all just hot air... why do you think Curt is doing what he is doing, cause talk is cheap.

So what should we do in your opinion? Kiss our money good bye?

I don't think any of us still have any hopes for our money (or all of them anyway) - but if there is about 100 000 or more to retrieve maybe there is someone who are interested in the case.

This is soooo far beyond OK and I'm happy if we have one fraudster less in business.

Wow. havent checked into this thread for a year.. is it true? are people STILL waiting for Inclino units???... really? and VF is in the blogs every other week with a new product?

jas

My thoughts too Jason. I'm not involved in this situation but had considered buying a cage for my 5DmkII from VF, and decided to boycott their products for this very reason. It's shameful.

Is it true? are people STILL waiting for Inclino units???...

Couldn't you tell by reading the last pages from this thread? If i didn't know better i would believe that you are mocking us around but i am sure that's not the case.

People have invested money in the FF units and until they get them or their money back the subject is unresolved.

How about inviting Curt to REDCENTER and doing a presentation of the Inclino/Impero? That way you could also ask him the hard questions so we all know what's happening and what could be a solution to the problem.

I guess there is very little money available at VF for refunds. I think it´s more realistic Curt is sitting on 200 or more nearly finished units then on $100000.-.
I was going through all the different stages of anger and frustration like most people who ordered 3 years ago. Like many others, I asked too late for a refund. And now? I think all I can do is waiting he gets this Inclino/Impero done and shipped.

No matter what the condition is..there must be at least a few final working units. There is no logic at all if there is none or zero. If its so that would mean curt failed to solve all problems that he mentioned 2 years ago.

That´s what I´ve got from him 27th of November 2010:

Marc,

We are getting our first 6 units for the new design on the December 15th. It will take two weeks to run the units through testing and then we are going to start production on 250 units. The only parts we are waiting on are the gears which are now being manufactured here in the US. If you can not wait then we can issue a refund but we will need to do it in installments as we have several we are paying out at the moment.

Regards,
Curt

I don´t know how fare he is with testing, but he mentioned to post a update about it these days over at the VF website...

blah blah blah... I can't believe you guys are still talking about this.

Stop moaning and do something or kiss your money goodbye and put an end to this.
Seriously Curt and Viewfactor do not care, its all hot air and weak threats of legal action.

I wouldn't be surprised if this thread is still going in another 3 years time.
Does go to show how easy people are willing to give up their hard earned cash and not get anything for it, then not doing anything about it.

Its incredible what people get away with.

BTW I am a lucky one who got a refund after waiting for 2.5 years
