  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone tried to sue with VF?

I do not doubt that Curt is a nice guy, but still my 6000 bucks sunk into obscurity for almost three years ago and I received no reply to my e-mails within one and a half years ... Unfortunately I am not a United States citizen, I do not know the US laws ... is there any chance to get my money back?

Well, its been 2 months since Miltos' post, and 6 weeks since Curt was allegedly going to announce shipping dates. So it appears that Miltos was either unbelievably naive, or he's helping Curt (avoid legal challenges from the masses of cusomers with no product yet, by posting false hope if not outright lies).

So how about it Miltos, are you naive or are you working for Curt? And, more importantly, will you appear in a court of law and swear to that answer and other facts surrounding your relationship with Viewfactor just as you are now standing in front of the RED community?
 
He reassured me there would be news by end of November. You know the rest.

I am as disappointed as you are and i just emailed him to express my feelings.

Whatever he answers (if he answers) i will not post here. I don't really see the point any more.

You shouldnt blame Miltos for this and you know it. He got the answer from Curt and he is the victim just like most of the people put their money and trust in Viewfactor.

This piece of Wireless FF is over i think and i dont think we are going to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This case should be process in court for those who reside in US. It's a crime. There must be something that is going incredibly wrong in his side
 
Just so you guys know.. Curt blames he haven't had time to visit this forums, because he is sooooo busy.. Well, I checked his public profile from time to time, and I have seen that he has indeed visited reduser atleast once a week.. His last visit was for example 01-15-2011.....

How many $ does viewfactor owe us?! He owes me about 4,000$... If I had ordered a couple of plastic toys from china for 30$, its one thing, but this is not peanuts :/ Atleast for me :(
 
Ok, good to know why Curt is banned Martin.

Kalani.. I don't know what to say.. But check out RT Motion instead. Nobody knows whats going on with VF any more.. But I've been asking for a refund for over a year now, and still nothing, only empty promises.. They stalled my refund for over six months with "we ship next week" excuses, to we will give you a refund within three weeks. Now nothing :(
 
I don't know Miltos. He is probably an upstanding citizen. But I had to ask. He answered, very respectfully, I might add.

Misplaced anger? If by misplaced you mean this forum, then no. This is the very place for my comment. I just saved Kalani from a painful and expensive transaction. If by misplaced you mean directed at Miltos, then again I say no. I don't know Miltos from anybody else. But his glowing posts sure open up the potential that he is Curt's proxy on this thread, since he is now banned. I asked, and he answered.

Who is interested in trying to organize legal action?

But I really hope You (as reduser.net) and Curt can sort this out, as this is the place for communication about the lacking FF units....

Curt didn't reply to personal requests for him to change his screen name to a real name, so as per policy he got banned. I don't see why he should be treated different from all other users getting banned for forum policy violation. If he is interested in keeping the channel open, he is — like every other member banned for real name policy violation — welcome to re-register under his real name.

It is quite telling that Curt's post "Getting very close…" is dated August 2008…
 
getting banned worked out nicely for Curt as its a easy thing to hide behind, "I can't post, I'm banned"

Surely there are enough people here who can get together and form legal action against View Factor, its beyond me how some have been waiting for so long.

a) If he really wanted to post, why was his last post made on 21st of February 2010 (link), while he got banned on the 7th of January 2011 — almost a year later.

b) If he really wanted to post, he could send a message to one of the mods to get his situation sorted.

c) If he really wanted to post, he could re-register with his real name.

d) If he really wanted to post, he could send a message to one of the other regular posters on this thread (or a mod) asking for his message to be relayed.

Taking the ban as an excuse for not informing his paying customers, would be nothing short of pathetic.
 
I am sorry that there is this misconception that i am somehow a spokesperson for Curt. Honestly i have never met the guy in person.

I have exchanged emails with him (he always replied immediately to me in contrast to other people's experiences) in one of which he confined the reasons he is not updating the status on the FFs here in REDUSER. His argument had some valid points but his overall reasoning was completely wrong in my opinion. I didn't express to him the disbelief i had for the way he deals with the issue but the present situation i believe is proof that he handled it in the worst possible way.

I am sad that the Inclino/Impero is not available yet. I am sadder that there is no visible future for it at the moment but not as sad as other people that have already payed for their units. I feel very bad for those people.

I still think that he is trying to juggle the profits he makes with the other Viewfactor products in order to finish and ship the FFs but it's hard not to loose faith in this actually happening after they didn't ship new units around the end of November like he told me. I have not spoken to him ever since and he didn't reply to the email i sent him 2 days ago.

So what now?

Taking legal action against Viewfactor will probably not get your money back or get any product in our hands. It will probably close down the company and everybody looses.

Someone who is based next to Viewfactor could go there in person, find out what the hell is going on and let everyone know.

Maybe a healthy company should buy Viewfactor or the patent/designs for the FF and release it themselves. This might be a solution for all.

Thanks Miltos. I will likely be in LA the 1st week of Feb and had planned on stopping by VF. I will also be consulting with a local attorney.
