Phone message left at View Factor has not been returned.

My emails and private messages have not been answered.

Someone from VF please contact me.

Not a happy customer.

Best regards anyway.

Leo

I hope his motors have been tested enough with the Red 18-50mm lens. Bartech motors aren't strong enough to turn my lens' focus ring. i needed a preston motor to make it work.

There is no such thing as a "BarTech" motor. The BFD works with 12 different motors, which have a wide variety of power outputs. The most popular is the M-One from Loon Video (formerly Palomar Engineering), which is one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful motors on the market. If the BFD/M-One won't turn your lens and a Preston does, there is something wrong with either the M-One or the BFD.

If you have a different motor, such as a Heden or FMG-6, the M-One is much, much more powerful. I have seen and felt the Inclino motor at three trade shows and my impression has been it isn't any more powerful.

View Factor continues to remain unresponsive to both email and telephone.

There are any number of possible reasons that VF is out of touch; cataclysmic communications equipment failure, building fire, mass hypnosis, etc.; hopefully it's not because they are gone with our full payments in advance.

If anyone is willing to share a mobile number to reach someone at VF, please send it to me via PM.

Best regards,

Leo

Leo, your avitar looks like you're watching your money drive away in a truck....lol....lol...

I really think that they are busy and unavailable.

I bet we hear something from Curt soon.....or :gun: :gun: :gun:

Let's see what John will report this weekend. At least he told us that. Not completely silence. And i dont believe he drives the money away.

Anyway, just wait and see til this weekend

I think you are right; that's the feeling I have. Not that this is the worse mistake I've made, but, unless American Express can help me, it's looking like this fool and his money have been parted.

I fear you are unfortunately mistaken on the, "busy and unavailable," idea.

My Red brothers and sisters, please be careful.

Best regards to all,

Leo

Actually, we do have a choice.

No announcement of any kind could change my opinion of VF at this time; it will make no difference to me whatever new "delivery" date they publish or whatever excuse they make this time.

VF has lost my trust.

Best regards to all,

Leo

I finally received an email from John von Badinski saying they would refund my money via check.

I will report to the forum when it is received.

Best regards to all,

Leo

Leo, I'm very sorry that we were not able to meet your needs. We are a small company and have spent a lot of time working on making a product that people can use in a professional environment. I have put my heart into this company and spent a lot of my personal money to get this venture off the ground. I can only reiterate that we are doing the best that we can to get these delivered as soon as possible and we can only do so much to ensure that our suppliers are doing the same.

I feel a little hurt that people think we are trying to make off with their money or in some way practice underhanded business ethics. We have tried to be as forthright as possible with everything we are doing but I guess its not enough - we will give more frequent updates and if anyone is upset with the way things are going we have always had a policy of complete refunds for anyone that has asked for it.

Ugh..

Curt, I totally understand. Take your time. We all know how small you guys are and the REAL people around here know that you guys aren't in business just to steal people's money.

Everyone just chill the fuck out. If you don't want to wait for your gear, ask for a refund and go buy something else. It's that simple.. You half-knew what you were getting into when you stepped up to put money down for a product that wasn't out yet so just chill out and let these guys build their product.

If you scheduled work around a non-existent product and are now upset about it, it's your own damn fault..

Remember how long it took Red to deliver?

Remember how long it took Redrock to deliver their mattebox?

CHILL OUT!!! You guys are like a bunch of jackals. Curt isn't Jim, he's doing the best he can..

Again, full respect for Curt, and I´m sure the product will be outstanding, just keep us updated whats going on !

Manuel

Hi Curt (and others)

I ordered 2 motors and a controller as soon as I could.

Please Curt get your product right. People will forget the lateness (and any non-green professional that did not expect it is a little crazy) but will never forgive it being shit.

We all bought into VF system because of price.

FAST, GOOD , CHEAP pick 2

I for one want good and cheap. There is already (from preston, c-motion.....) great systems that offer Fast (ie already on the market) and Good.

sorry for the ramble but I feel for Curt who is an honest dreamer (in a good way) working his nuts off.

kind regards

Michael

I have said it before, the deal we are getting for top flight gear is worth the extra wait. Curt could have said. "ok thats good enough for what they are paying", but no, he has stood by his quality standard and told us every time something has happend, frustrating....yes, for us and VF as well. deal breaker? not a chance.

I would like to say that i was also waiting for ages for my Origo to arrive. After i eventually held it in my hands and witnessed it's built quality, not only i forgot the waiting but i also positioned ViewFactor in my mind as a TOP camera accessories manufacturer.

One vote of confidence to Curt from me!

Miltos

So you say that Jim isn't doing the best he can?

Curt isn't a billionaire. VF is a small operation, making incredible products for us. I'm as anxious as anyone. These guys aren't just sitting around. I bet money on that. Ok. I'll chill out now. :)

I' am just sooo looking forward to get my hands on it, and I sure could use it on several jobs.

Go Curt go!!!

Emmanuel
