  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

VFS Inclino, Imperio, Origo News ??

If I don't get my origo by this shoot I have coming up, my whole reason for buying it will be moot...

Take your time Curt. I know it must be incredibly stressful with all these guys asking "are we there yet, are we there yet?" Make it good. And thank you very much for making such high end film gear available to us indie (read: budget conscious) filmmakers.

Here is "Pruitt's Law of Camera and Accessory Availability": However many months you think it will take for an item to arrive to your door, square that number and you'll probably be close.

:-)

And of course, there is always this corollary (not original to me): "The time it takes for an item to arrive to your door is inversely proproptional to the degree of need."

But, boy, I sure am looking forward to getting my VF goodies.

Yes please, let's get an update. I know there are all sorts of startup issues, but I've been waiting since June. (Put my money down at NAB).

I hope his motors have been tested enough with the Red 18-50mm lens. Bartech motors aren't strong enough to turn my lens' focus ring. i needed a preston motor to make it work.

You mean the M-one motor ?
This is strange, I've been using it during the last 2 weeks without any issues...
Is your focus ring so stiff ? On my lens it is quite fluid.

I'm usually a very, very patient person...

I'm starting to get worried though. I have no doubt that ViewFactor will deliver, but I have a job that will need the inclino and motors coming up in just a few weeks. If it's not going to happen, I'll have to make other arrangements. Just would like to know.

We've had numerous jobs come up where we had to make other arrangements unfortunately. Not the best of situations. It will be REALLY nice when they start shipping.
 
I think all you guys need to tone it down a bit.
I know its exciting to get a new toy/tool but im sure
its not done cooking.

These impatient comments are in no way productive, and instead promote an air of negativity.

Im sure the guys at ViewFactor are rushing as much as they can, and dealing with manufacturing issues.

Ive seen early protos of these motors and the controller, some in functioning and some not so far along and i can vouch that i was impressed and know i will be blown away when the whole system comes together.
