Hi Brook,
1. I want to get it as quickly as possible, and with the minimum hassle from FedEx. Do you have any UK or European sellers?
2. Are the longer cables available yet? If not, then when? I would like approx 1 metre (to be able to use it with a Glidecam 4000).
1. No, we do not have resellers yet but there are a few options on the table for next year.
2. Longer cables will be announced in the next few days. We are trying to determine what the best length would be for a stocked item and what the logistics would be if we decide to allow custom lengths.

Hey Curt,
Any updates on shipping out the IDX plates? I believe you said fulfillment Tuesday or Wednesday of this week for existing orders, though mine's still listed as processing (ordered on Nov 22). Since RED's side handles seem to be in perpetual backorder, I'm in dire need of mobile power!
Thank you
Your order is going out today. We the holiday weekend to deal with in addition to the replacements that put us a little behind. We will have all orders completely shipped next week and have been doing our best to get things out within 2-3 days in most instances.

What cable lengths are people interested in? My initial thoughts are 1', 18", 3' and 6', but that's just brainstorming.

18" and 3'. And when the modules will be available, exact size with Quad module alone, and Quad module + Pro I/O would be perfect.
Thanks Brook, I just ordered the APU-AB over IDX, better form factor.

I'd by up for an 18". I could also see a use for a 8-10' cable, more is more...

There'll be some line loss with longer cables, we'll have to do some testing.

OK, if that's the case more could be less. I would go for 6' instead which is the length of RED belt clip cable, and that seems to work fine.

18" for handheld please.

Also, are you still going to make an adapter plate that would allow us to mount the battery on something besides the back of a module?

But of course, just waiting on machine time for 'em. :) As of now there are four interface adapters planned.

One is the one you're interested in. It will have "through holes" for screwing it into things like speedy clamps and iris rod brackets as well as tapped holes for screwing things into it.

The second is the module interface adapter which will allow the plate to mount on the back of the Module Adapter or modules [such as the IO module].

The third is a belt clip interface adapter.

The fourth is a Backpack interface adapter.

Pictures soon, don't worry!

Any info about the redmote wired connection adapter/cables when the APU is on the back of the camera?

The wired connection is for power only, not data [I believe Curt misunderstood a question earlier in the thread]. We'll have details this weekend!

Brooke!... if I wasn't turning into a RED VOLT JUNKY!!! ... I'd buy these in a flash!
Great work mate!

Been shooting with this IDX plate for the last 2 weeks in a lightweight setup, and I have to say I'm more than happy with it, it's as compact as it could be, very solid, extremely quick and easy to install or remove (less than 5 seconds), it's really a perfect fit for the Epic. Everyone using V-Mount batteries should have this item !
Thanks guys !

Brook, have you tried mounting the SPACECAM Sync Bob plus with your back plates?

1. I have the RED Backpack system and the knob for tightening the battery palte hits the spacebib ports... rendering it unmountable... looks like it will be fine with your backoack as you dont have a handle on the right like RED does.

2. Do your side arms go over the space bob? looks like it should fit... just curious if anyone has tried Space Bob Plus with this battery plate and or Ribs?

so its the weekend =]. Any chance of the redmote d tap usb cable coming out? if so looks like ill have to make another order. and if i have jumped on this too early sorry for that Brook.

The Backpack interface adapter wil be designed in such a way that it does not interfere.

I have never seen the bob in person, so I cannot confirm. My understanding is that they actually tweaked their design slightly [thanks, guys!] to make them work with the APU plates.
