Very unfair? You are getting an opportunity to get a $30K camera for $20K and you are being treated unfairly? Over, what, a savings of less than $1000 on an accessory bundle?
Kurtis, methinks looking at the glass half full, instead of half empty, here would be a good idea.
This gives me the perfect excuse to close my browser for the night...
I can only assume they mean the Scarlet Dragon package (which was an extra $2500 off, making the total savings closer to $3000). Which, as someone who has never owned a RED, I can see why they'd want a little something extra over the deal I'm getting as a newbie.
Anyway, I'm totally cool losing the bundle. Allows me to streamline my accessories.
Oh, and Brent, will there be details about priority or timestamp stuff? I'm curious where those of us with no camera (Dec 10th order) fall in line. I understand that lots of people with varying degrees of camera investment are all hoping to have priority, so it's probably a nightmare to plan.
Brent, I'm a Scarlet Dragon owner that hasn't yet placed my deposit down for the special priced Scarlet Dragom-to-Scarlet-W package upgrade. If I were to put down my deposit for the Scarlet-W bundle before Oct.11, would it be honored? (I really hope so).
I'd like clarification on a current situation: I plan to purchase the upgrade for Epic-W immediately (from Epic Dragon). However, because my camera and I are booked on several jobs over the next 2 months, I don't have the availability to trade in until approximately December. If I pay in full and get 'in line' early enough can I hold it at RED until I'm ready to upgrade and not wait in line later?
Example - I am #10 in line when the purchasing button is activated on the website and there's a body available to me. Will that body be allocated to me and held at Red even if all the other ones fly off the shelves? Say in Dec when I'm ready to trade there are 100 people in line waiting for bodies to be made, I can just send old body in and get the new one w/o having to get back in line after person #100?

Scarlet dragon owners options?
Trade in a roughly 10K$ camera for a 10K$ discount on EW brain
Get 2500$ off Scarlet-W package. Keep Scarlet-D
What am I missing?
Thank you in advance. Looking for basic info.
couple of us on the Scarlet-w Facebook group are joking around that the SW queue is just going to get longer.
* WHAT IF * everyone who already decided to upgrade on the 11th to the EPIC W changes their minds last minute and just gets a 2nd Scarlet-W instead. lol hahaha just kidding but for real tho
Don’t confuse sensor name with camera name : )
With WEAPON HELIUM, you get mount, media bay, and SIDEKICK. With EPIC-W HELIUM, no SIDEKICK or mount.
Can anyone that owns/has used a Helium tell us how it compares to Dragon in terms of low light? It's definitely what I'm most excited about Epic-W

According to Mark Toia:
"Put it this way: shooting at 1600 - 2500 ASA is like as clean as 800 in 6K. Most of my tests so far have been low light at 3200 and upwards in mixed lighting. I'm trying to find the weak point."
