  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Congrats! You are going to have to keep me posted on your first impressions, we were early adopters of the AF100 as well and can't wait to throw the Scarlet-X into the mix.
 
Has anyone figured out the shipping order logic for Scarlets? I've read Brent's post which said the SO #s do not mean everything, and I see that many PL Scarlets after my SO # (1059) are noted to have received an allocation email. Almost all before my # have been shipped. I would like to think that mine is up soon, but I really have no basis for this.

Although very friendly, my sales rep cannot provide any indication as to when anything I ordered will ship, and has given me contradictory information regarding the process. I find this user forum to be the best source of information (when I have the time to dig though pages of posts). So, has anyone deduced a shipping order from variables presented in the list?

Unfortunately, there is obviously a shortage of Epic/Scarlet Canon mounts (al and ti) and as a result PL mount Scarlet packages are being filled in the meantime.

Like you, I went with a Canon mount. It is definitely frustrating not knowing.

Time for Kent to put on the cape.

Red is shipping Scarlets to the 300 who attended the scarlet event on nov 1st before they begin shipping to those who weren't at the event. From what I've heard, all orders for PL from people at the event have been delivered, so that is why you would see SOs that are after yours receive their scarlet already. I'm assuming you ordered a PL? As far as canon mount goes, there are still Scarlets with the al canon mount that have to be shipped to attendees of the event. Hopefully that clears it up for you!
 
Am I seriously going to be the first in Utah to get the Scarlet? Only saw one guy on the list, but never states if he paid for it in full or if it's shipping.

I only see a few in NJ where I am too. I think this list is great, but it hardly represents the thousands or tens of thousands I'm sure that purchased this camera. It is definitely appreciated but I'm sure a lot more than what we are seeing will be added soon, including studios, rental houses, etc. I'm freakin' praying everyday that I get mine soon.
 
Thanks AJ and Peter for your responses. I did order a PL (SO# 1059). Other PL orders that have been noted as allocated later in the list (1147, 1184, 1218, 1220, 1231) did not come from customers who attended the event (according to the list). If the info in the database is accurate, then this shows that there are other variables that are determining allocation order (or lack thereof).

Like others who update and check the list, I am trying to estimate when my camera will arrive. It is our best source for an ETA since, unfortunately, the vendor does not give estimates.

Hopefully, I will have some data to add soon...

Will do.

I am keeping my 2 AF-100 for certain projects for sure, but can't wait to own my own 4k camera.

Me too man, me too! The only thing that keeps me sane is remembering something like scarlet would be muuuuch much further away if it weren't for Jim and the guys. Now just weeks! hopefully days...
 
Oh man. It's great having a Scarlet. Trust me. It's like no other experience. I can't stop holding it. When im not shooting, it's hanging out with me.

Dude, how freakin far is nacagdoches from waco?! I'm about to hop in my truck and drive down there just so I can get my fix...

It seems, to me at least, like there might be some delays on the Canon Mounts? It doesn't seem like many have been going out.
