Just to add to the above.
We where using a EPic MX with quad module with 4 redvolts. And the diving was not in any warm waters really. (South Africa, we used full body wetsuits even) Eric Börjesson was the UW DOP and it was his house and our camera. We had these power down issues which resulted in the clip that was recording would not show up on the mag. But I'm sure it would have been possible to rescue with redundead.
Later at night we did some testings with different fan modes and such in a bath tube with about the same temperature water and yes the camera shut down for no reason after a while of testing, and the batteries where crazy hot when taking them out of the bat module. And reading on the back of them it is clearly stated that they shut of at a certain temperature.
So we had some large V lock batteries with us and we could reconfigure and get rid of the quad module and redvolts and proceed with no issues.
As everyone that worked wit redvolts knows, they do get warm from usage much warmer than most bigger batteries. And I'm guessing that when one battery in the quad is running it "Preheats" the battery next to it and when the first battery is out and the battery swap to the next. It's allready really warm when starting and the heat builds up faster than it can transpond trough the diving house... which makes the bat temperature go up and the battery shuts off, even though the sensor or camera is not at the same heatlevels.
